Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, VARIANCE 1790 HOLTON ~ 4 <br />that the variance request submitted by Leslie Wicklund, <br />1790 Holton, to allow for the widening of the driveway <br />to permit parking in front of the house at the above <br />address, be ref erred to the Falcon Heights Planning <br />Commission. T•totion carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, VARIANCE 1372 W. LARPENTEUR <br />that the variance request submitted by rtillard Rustad, <br />1372 I1. Laroenteur Avenue, to construct a double garage <br />two feet from the west property line, be referred to <br />the Falcon Heights Planning Commission. Motion carridr~. <br />Mr. Rustad also requested that the Council inspect the <br />alley behind his home at 1372 tid. Larpenteur. He <br />stated that the drainage in the alley is bad and water <br />stands after a rain and is splashed onto his home and <br />car when cars are driven through the alley. The <br />Council agreed that it would check into the drainage <br />problem. Ntr. Rustad also requested that the City <br />Council support him and other residents along Larpenteur <br />Avenue in their quest to be granted permission to park <br />on Larpenteur Avenue in front of their homes. The <br />Council agreed that it would have a representative from <br />the Ramsey County Engineer's office at a future meeting <br />to discuss the possibility of allowing parking on <br />Larr,~enteur Avenue. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes reported that the Park Bond PARK BOND SALES <br />sales have been finalized. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes gave a progress report on the ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION <br />25th Anniversary Celebration. <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, <br />to authorise the expenditure of X300.00, $100.00 of <br />which to be used for the band, for the Anniversary <br />Celebration. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, GENERAL PAYROLL <br />to app rove the general payroll for the first half of <br />July, 1971, in the amount of $3,732.63. Tlotion carried. <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra,GE~ DISBURSEMENTS <br />to approve the general disbursements for the first half <br />of July, 197I~, in the amount of ~2,L33.67. Motion <br />carried. <br />Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Councilman Black, LIQUOR PAYROLL <br />to ann_rove the liquor payroll for the first half of July, <br />1971, in the amount of $1,590.11. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, LIQUOR DISBURSEMENTS <br />to approve the liquor disbursements for the first half <br />of July, 1971, in the amount of $t~,276.62. Motion <br />carried. <br />Intr. and Mrs. Norbert Hermes, 1755 St. rtary's were present VARIANCE 17.7 N. SNELLING <br />to voice their objections to the granting of a variance <br />and issuance of a building permit to Gaylord Wahl, 177 <br />N. Snelling, for the construction of a utility shed, re- <br />placing an old building at the same location. <br />
