Captain Spencer of the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department ~ ~ ~ <br />is to be notified and told not to tag cars parking on <br />Fairview Avenue, if they are parked in an orderly <br />manner. <br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, <br />that the following streets be posted "No Parking" <br />during the T~innesota State Fair: <br />The north side of Hollywood Court, west side of Arona <br />between Larnenteur and Hoyt, north side of California, <br />Idaho and Iowa between Snelling Drive and Pascal, east <br />side of Fry between Larpenteur and Garden, south side <br />of Garden between Snelling and Fry, west side of St. <br />Mary's, south side of Maple Kno11, and also that the <br />Ramsey County Highway Department be requested to post <br />Larpenteur Avenue, both sides, from Snelling to <br />Fairview and the north side of Hoyt Avenue from Hamline <br />to Snelling Drive. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Steele moved, that the Council redesignate <br />the official City newspaper for the remainder of the <br />year 197t~, due to an apparent lack of publicity and <br />disinterest in the Falcon Heights City government by <br />the Roseville Suburban Sun Newspaper, and appoint the <br />St. Paul Pioneer Press and Dispatch as the Official <br />City Newspan er. <br />Attorney Kenefick informed Councilman Steele, that <br />said motion was out of order as the Ordinance <br />states that the City will designate annually the <br />appointment of an Official Newspaper. He stated <br />that said designation would have to be made on <br />January 1, or the first business meeting in <br />January. <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes reported on the progress <br />of the 25th Anniversary Celebration. <br />Attorney Kenefick presented the Council with a draft of <br />the agreement to be made between the University of <br />Minnesota and the City of Falcon Heights for takeover of <br />services to the University Grove area. <br />Fire reports 32 and 33 were noted. <br />~~ <br />The Council requested that Clerk-Administrator Barnes <br />get estimates on having a leaf pickup and disposal <br />program and for the chipping of branches. <br />Engineer Lemberg reported that 197? Sealcoating Pro3ect <br />would begin Monday, July 29, 197LG, in the Northome <br />Addition.
