MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA SEPTEMBER 26, 1971 1 SO A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order by Mayor Warkentien at 8:00 P.M. Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra. Also present were Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer Anderlik and Attorney Kenefick. None. Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of September 12, 197l~, as corrected. Motion carried. Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, to approve the Master Gas Installers License renewal by Twin City Gas Heat Engineering, Inc., 3509 16th Avenue South, Minneapolis, for the period ending June 30, 1975. Motion carried. PRESENT ABSENT MINUTE S MASTER GAS INSTALLERS LICENSE No action was taken on the request for payment by the REQUEST FOR PAYMENT - George M. Hansen Company, City Auditors, until a further GEORGE M. HANSEN COMPANY itemization of their bill is obtained by the C1erk- Administrator. Andy Holdorph and Mike Apple, residents of Commonwealth Terrace, were present to discuss the possibility of changing the polling place of precinct #!~ from the Northwest Greenhouse, 2100 W. Larpenteur Avenue, to a location in the Commonwealth Community Center. This proposal has been approved by the Board of Directors of the Commonwealth Terrace Co-op. It is felt that conditions in the center are more functional and convenient to both the residents in the Commonwealth Terrace units and the University Grove. Parking facilities would be adequate and there would be no problem with ingress and egress of traffic. A letter from Representative Neil Dieterich, 62A, was read, in which he urged the Council to place this request under consideration. 1 The Council requested that the residents of the University Grove be polled to indicate their feelings related to moving the polling place, to be presented at the next regular Council meeting. No action was taken on the matter. DeLose Thornquist, 1386 W. Larpenteur; Millard C. Rusted, 1372 w. Larpenteur; Louis Rosner, 1362 W. Larpenteur; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Olsen, 1386 W. Larpenteur; Mr. and Mrs. Bill LaBarre, 1382 w. Larpenteur; and Bud Meyers, were present to discuss the possibility of providing parking on the south side of Larpenteur Avenue between Hemline and Albert Avenues. Joe Anderlik, Engineer, presented a cost estimate for providing a ten foot parking lane from the existing thirteen feet of boulevard on the south side of Larpenteur Avenue from CHANGE OF POLLING PLACE PRECINCT #~ LARPENTEUR AVENUE PARKING
