MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />SEPTEMBER 26, 1971 <br />1 <br />SO <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Warkentien at 8:00 P.M. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, <br />and Labalestra. Also present were Clerk-Administrator <br />Barnes, Engineer Anderlik and Attorney Kenefick. <br />None. <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Black, <br />to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />September 12, 197l~, as corrected. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, <br />to approve the Master Gas Installers License renewal <br />by Twin City Gas Heat Engineering, Inc., 3509 16th Avenue <br />South, Minneapolis, for the period ending June 30, <br />1975. Motion carried. <br />PRESENT <br />ABSENT <br />MINUTE S <br />MASTER GAS INSTALLERS <br />LICENSE <br />No action was taken on the request for payment by the REQUEST FOR PAYMENT - <br />George M. Hansen Company, City Auditors, until a further GEORGE M. HANSEN COMPANY <br />itemization of their bill is obtained by the C1erk- <br />Administrator. <br />Andy Holdorph and Mike Apple, residents of Commonwealth <br />Terrace, were present to discuss the possibility of <br />changing the polling place of precinct #!~ from the <br />Northwest Greenhouse, 2100 W. Larpenteur Avenue, to <br />a location in the Commonwealth Community Center. <br />This proposal has been approved by the Board of <br />Directors of the Commonwealth Terrace Co-op. It is <br />felt that conditions in the center are more functional <br />and convenient to both the residents in the Commonwealth <br />Terrace units and the University Grove. Parking <br />facilities would be adequate and there would be no <br />problem with ingress and egress of traffic. <br />A letter from Representative Neil Dieterich, 62A, was <br />read, in which he urged the Council to place this <br />request under consideration. <br />1 <br />The Council requested that the residents of the University <br />Grove be polled to indicate their feelings related to <br />moving the polling place, to be presented at the next <br />regular Council meeting. No action was taken on the <br />matter. <br />DeLose Thornquist, 1386 W. Larpenteur; Millard C. Rusted, <br />1372 w. Larpenteur; Louis Rosner, 1362 W. Larpenteur; <br />Mr. and Mrs. Robert Olsen, 1386 W. Larpenteur; Mr. and <br />Mrs. Bill LaBarre, 1382 w. Larpenteur; and Bud Meyers, <br />were present to discuss the possibility of providing <br />parking on the south side of Larpenteur Avenue between <br />Hemline and Albert Avenues.
