9/ Aiotioned by Councilman Black, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to adopt F.esolution No. 74-25 recommending to Governor A~iderson the appointment of Mrs. James J. (Geraldine) Jenkins to the newly created post in District No. 2 on the Metropolitan Council. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra. Motion carried. A discussion was held in respect to the proposed G,Forld AGROmart WORLD AGROMART Development, and it was noted that Mr. Jack Hanley would l;e DEVELOPMENT present at the December 12, 1974 meeting to discuss with the PROPOSAL Council any further development in respect to the proposal. Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to FALCON LE~NES approve the application of Clement A. Lehnen for a Bottle Club BOTTLE CLUB License at the Falcon Heights Bowling Lanes, 1550 West Lar- LICENSE penteur Avenue. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Blac?c, Steele, and Labalestra. The following voted against: Councilman Ecklund. Diotion carried. Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to RAMSEY COUNTY LEAGUE approve the Ramsey County League request for the use of the REQUEST FOR USE OF Council Chambers for their meeting of November 20, 1974 at COUNCIL CHAMBERS 8:00 p.m. Metro Transit is one of the topics to be discussed rdOVEr1BER 20, 1974 at their meeting. riot ion carried. The Sound System proposal of Electronic Design was read by Clerk-Administrator Barnes and discussed by the Council. It was noted that the price would be $1,870.00 for a regular system, and $2,028.00 for an alternative system. Councilman Steele suggested lookint for a ;portable system which would include a tape recorder, six mikes, and one speaker. Also, Councilman Steele suggested allocating $2,000.00 for the system. Clerk-Administrator Barnes suggested that the pro- posed system be tried out for meetings December 3, December 10, and. December 12. Nir. Anderson discussed the technical and price ranges of the system. The Council directed Clerlc-Administrator Barnes to come up with some other recommendations. Fire Reports 56, 57, 58, 59, and 60 were noted. Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, to approve bhe general payroll for the first half of November in the amount of $2,665.00 Motion carried. Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to approve the liquor payroll for the first half of November in the amount of $1,604.71 Motion carried. Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Diayor Warkentien, to approve the general disbursements for the first half of November in the amount of X5,271.83 P4otion carried. Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, to approve the liquor disbursements for the first half of November in the amount of $12,438.72 Motion carried.
