9/ <br />Aiotioned by Councilman Black, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to <br />adopt F.esolution No. 74-25 recommending to Governor A~iderson the <br />appointment of Mrs. James J. (Geraldine) Jenkins to the newly <br />created post in District No. 2 on the Metropolitan Council. <br />Upon a vote being taken, the following voted in favor: Mayor <br />Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra. <br />Motion carried. <br />A discussion was held in respect to the proposed G,Forld AGROmart WORLD AGROMART <br />Development, and it was noted that Mr. Jack Hanley would l;e DEVELOPMENT <br />present at the December 12, 1974 meeting to discuss with the PROPOSAL <br />Council any further development in respect to the proposal. <br />Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to FALCON LE~NES <br />approve the application of Clement A. Lehnen for a Bottle Club BOTTLE CLUB <br />License at the Falcon Heights Bowling Lanes, 1550 West Lar- LICENSE <br />penteur Avenue. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted <br />in favor: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Blac?c, Steele, and <br />Labalestra. The following voted against: Councilman Ecklund. <br />Diotion carried. <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, to RAMSEY COUNTY LEAGUE <br />approve the Ramsey County League request for the use of the REQUEST FOR USE OF <br />Council Chambers for their meeting of November 20, 1974 at COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />8:00 p.m. Metro Transit is one of the topics to be discussed rdOVEr1BER 20, 1974 <br />at their meeting. riot ion carried. <br />The Sound System proposal of Electronic Design was read by <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes and discussed by the Council. It <br />was noted that the price would be $1,870.00 for a regular <br />system, and $2,028.00 for an alternative system. Councilman <br />Steele suggested lookint for a ;portable system which would <br />include a tape recorder, six mikes, and one speaker. Also, <br />Councilman Steele suggested allocating $2,000.00 for the <br />system. Clerk-Administrator Barnes suggested that the pro- <br />posed system be tried out for meetings December 3, December 10, <br />and. December 12. Nir. Anderson discussed the technical and price <br />ranges of the system.
