Anderson, 21118 Ione Street, Lauderdale: "There is no
amount set aside in your pro forma list of costs for land acquisition.
Do you expect to get the land from the state? If not, how do you
expect to get it?"
Mr. Hanley stated, "We don't expect to get it, but the point is that the
law provides ahoy/se11/lease property. It has been the assumption that
the land would be leased and that it wcyuld be located on state property."
Q "Does the Dayton Hudson Corporation have at~y meney in this project?"
Mr. Hanley answered "No. Only three poor firms have anything in it. There
is very little money in it at this time."
Q R. C. Brown, 1592 Maple Knoll Drive: "What is the reason for a r~sce
track and a darned stadium to do with a World AGROmart?"
Mr. Hanley stated, "fhe track is already there; the fair uses the track
every year for automobile races and they're not going to get rid of it,
and as I said, in the very beginning, we're not proposing a total change
at the State Fair. Whatever functions and activities that are there
should continue."
Q D. Elving Anderson, 1775 North Fairview: "Is the domed stadium an
essential part of the plan? Why would't an auditorium seating less
than 5,000 satisfy the AGROmart concept?'~
Mr. Hanley stated, "I would think that if the donned stadium were not
there, there would have to be some other facility nearby probably seating
5,000 for information eomrentions on scene subject." Mr. Nemeth then
stated, "The answer is 'no' to the first part, but we do see in the con-
cept for a facility of space that w~ old draw a sizeable amount of people
together. We havn't really developed the details of the program and the
answers;'
Q "What changes in the feeder roads (Larpenteur and Snelling) might
be required to accomodate such a complex?+'
Mayor Warkentien answered, "I think that question might be prompted by
the paragraph in the brochure. I think the present roads would be
adequate to handle the vehicular traffic flowing to and from the World
AGROmart site without causing traffic problems."
Q Harry Brtuzcke: "Do you consider streets and highways will carry the
stadium traffic?"
Mr. Nemeth stated, 'bur proposal involved the setting in terms of trans-
portation links and how our vehicles came and go. We have relied almost
entirely upon the Bather, Ringrose, and Wolsfeld study of the Metro Area,
which this pro3ect is eventually utilizing. Essentially, there will be
no change for the proposed mass transit. We have not proposed a variation
or a redeveloping of the systems other than what is already proposed.-'
Q Mrs. R. H. Bonde, 1895 North Fairview: "What about roads to handle all
the traffic for the big parking lots you show?"
