~~ MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETIPIG FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA DECEMBER 30, 197lc A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Cotmcil was called to order by Mayor Warkentien at 7:lt2 p.m. Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Steele, Ecklund, and PRESENT Labalestra. Also present were Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer Lemberg, and Attorney Skor. None. ABSENT No action was taken by the Council in regard to the minutes MINUTES of the regular Council meeting of December 12, 't9?~.. The Council felt that the minutes should be corrected in depth, and be brought up at the neat meeting. Councilman Slack moved, seconded by councilman Labalestra, GENERAL CORPORATE to approve General Corporate License No. 303 for the Falcon LICENSE N0. 303 Heights United Church of Christ to sell Christmas trees. FALCON HEIGHTS Councilman Steele suggested sending a polite letter in UNITED CHURCH OF regard to late applications of this type:., Motion carried. CHRIST - TREE5 Councilman Steele moved, seconded b9 Mayor Warkeratien, to approve General Corporate License No. 31l~ for the Twin City Furnace Company, 459 North Shelling, for a period ending June 30, X975. Motion carried. The request of Mrs. Jerry Jenkins for a committee to be set up in regard to reviewing changes for Prec. No. 4 was discussed. Mayor Warkentiem noted that he had contacted the following people for the corruuittee: Mike Apple, LeNa~r Davis, Donald Rasmussun, Linda Locker, Anc~ Holdorf, and Mrs. Jerry Jenkins. The Mayor also suggested setting up a meeting in which one of the above people could be named chairman. Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to approve the Rams~r County League of Municipalities request for dues from Falcon Heights in the amount of $291.1I~ for the year 1975. Motion carried. 1 The Council discussed the application of Gary GrandQrey for an amusement center at 1662 North Snelling, and decided to refund his $5.00 fee as there is no provision in Ord. 6t~ that would permit such a center. Councilman Black noted that Ord. 6t~ does not permit such an establish- ment with either a permitted or a conditional use permit. Councilman Labalestra thought that the amusement center might attract undesirable types of people, possibly causing some problems. He also suggested that alcoholic beverages might be a problem concerning minors. Councilman Steele also felt that neighborhood children would play in the areas hang around,, and cause problems.
