2686 <br />Mrs. Kulkay volunteered to take survey of all <br />residents living on Fry Street with regard to banning <br />parking on the entire street. She will submit results <br />of survey and signatures at next meeting of council. <br />Financial Statement - Year Certified Public Accountant Carl L Pearson was present <br />Ended December 31, 1967: and copies of Financial Statement and Audit for the <br />year ended December 31, 1967 had been previously <br />distributed.to council members. After review, <br />Strandquist moved, seconded by Black that the Village <br />Clerk be authorized to submit the Financial Statement <br />to the Suburban Sun Newspapers for.. official publication. <br />Ayes; All., Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Management Letter: Carl Pearson~s Management letter of March 18, 1968 <br />listed cash adjustments that should be made. Stone <br />moved, seconded by Black that the Village Clerk be <br />instructed to make cash adjustments to Accounts #1~, <br />~5, #6, and #1 as outlined in above letter. Ayes: <br />Warkentien, Strandquist, Black, Ecklund and Stone. <br />Nays: None.. Motion was carried. <br />Expand General Ledger Pearson reviewed present accounting system with council- <br />to Cover A11 Accounts: men, and as recommended in management letter, con- <br />„ sideration was given to expanding general ledger to <br />- cover all accounts. This will increase amount of <br />formal recording and work as a cross check to aid <br />in mechanical proof of work performed and will also <br />conform more closely to generally accepted practices <br />for Municipal Accounting on a cash basis. Black <br />moved, seconded by Ecklund that Clerk and Treasurer <br />be authorized to implement said recommendation as <br />soon as conveniently possible. Ayess All. Nays: <br />None. Motion was carried. <br />Dog Controls Donald Bona of B & E Patrol was present to discuss <br />animal control.. He stated that when dogs are impounded, <br />owners are instructed to obtain registration from the <br />village office before dog is released and he would like <br />council approval to keep about five registration forms <br />and tags on hand at his office as a convenience to dog <br />owners who claim dogs after village office hours. After <br />inquiry, Bona advised that his firm was equipped to_ <br />handle more hours of patrolling Falcon Heights. He also <br />stated that survey will be made either by phone or house <br />B & E Patrol to house, to determine kinds and numbers of animals kept <br />authorized to patrol within Falcon Heights. All dog owners will be advised <br />Falcon Heights an that dog registrations must be obtained. <br />additional eight <br />hours a month: Strandquist moved, seconded by'Ecklund that B & E Patrol <br />n <br />1 <br />be authorized to add another eight hours a month to <br />patrolling village streets for the months of April, May, <br />and June. The first eight hours of patrolling, as per <br />contract, will be at ~l~.00 and the additional eight <br />hours at X5.00 an hour. <br />It is understood that above-mentioned survey will be <br />conducted during this period.
