2705 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 2,~, 1968 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7x00 P.M. with the following members <br />presents Mayor ~Ifarkentien, Councilmen Stone, Ecklund and Black. Absents <br />"~ Clerk Strandquist. Also present were Engineer Lemberg, Treasurer Olsen and <br />Attorneys Galvin and Seed. <br />League of ~Ifomen Voters representative was Mrs. Mary Duddleston. Also present <br />was Tom Reiff. Roger Gratiot of the St. Paul Dispatch was present. <br />Correspondences Reminder that nominations for .this years C.C.Ludwig <br />C. C. Ludwig Award are due in the League of Minn. Municipalities <br />Nominations s office by May 1st was_ dated April. 17, 1968. <br />Street lights installed Letter dated April 17, 1968 from R.L. Vannelli, <br />and removed by NSPs supervisor municipal services, advised of street <br />_ lights installed on April 1, and also street lights <br />that were removed at Arona and Larpenteur. <br />St. Michaels Lutheran Warkentien announced he had received letter from Saint <br /> Church: _ Michael's Lutheran Church, Midlothian Road and County <br /> Road B,.advising of program scheduled for April 28 at <br /> 7:00 P.M, at which Frank Kent will speak on nThe ffiack <br /> and White of It.~ Registration forms were enclosed <br /> and all are invited. <br /> Open House - <br /> Minneapolis~St.Paul Invitation was extended to Councilmen to attend open <br /> Sanitary Sewer house at the Minneapolis-St.Paul Sewer Plant on <br /> Districts Tuesday, May 1l~, 1968. <br /> Dedication -mater Kerwin L. Mick, on behalf of Board of Trustees, advised <br /> Pollution Control of dedication ceremonies May 12, 1968 for neW additions <br /> Plant Additions: to water pollution control plant. <br /> - Solicitors -Local Local Readers Service, Inc. submitted Identification <br /> Readers Service, Ines and Registration Form with list of persons who are <br /> engaged in procuring subscriptions and renewals to <br /> Popular National Magazines. Clerk was instructed to <br /> check with Better Business Bureau regarding this servicE <br /> Destruction of Records: After review of list of records and miscellaneous <br /> _ items prepared by the clerks office, Black 3.ntroduced <br /> the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> WHEREAS, M.S.A. l~1.2.8~I authorizes the destruction <br /> of certain village records more than ten years old; and <br /> WHEREAS, a list of records has been presented to <br /> the council with a request in writing that destruction <br /> be approved by the council, and <br /> ~' , the village attorney has approved the <br />destruction of such records in writing <br /> . _ <br /> NOW, 'T'HEREF'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Village <br /> Council of Falcon Heights, Minnesota as follawss <br />
