Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion <br />was carried. <br />Engi.neerts Report Lemberg stated that he has checked into dimensions of <br /> Idaho~nelling Playground area and the blacktopped <br />Tennis Courts portion is not large enough to accommodate a tennis <br /> court. <br />Highway Department Lemberg advised he has just received from the State <br />-Local Consent Highway Department a letter dated April 29 which <br />Bills advises of its proposed B311 on Municipal Plans or <br /> Local Consent. It appears as though Highway Department <br /> is being held up in so many places on intra-state <br /> highway construction by local communities that the <br /> Department is asking for new legislation which would <br /> provide that if local council does not act on highway <br /> department plans within three months after receipt, <br /> the Commissioner of Highways can proceed with construction; <br /> if local council does act and no tifies Commissioner <br /> within three months to oppositions an arbitration board <br /> will be, set up and final disposition of the matter will <br /> be made. <br />Special Meeting Warkentien moved, seconded by Stone that special <br />June 20th to meet meeting be scheduled for Thursdays June 20, 1968 at <br />with Highway 7:30 P.M. to discuss the latest Highway Department <br />Commission®r: plans for Larpenteur-Snelling intersection. Lemberg will <br />contact Spiegler. <br />Regarding private enterprise on the fairgrounds, Attorney <br />Seed stated that structures on the fairgrounds are <br />assessed :~, personal property and'axe not assessed as <br />real property. There is no additional valuation with <br />`respect to the land on which they are situated. County <br />assessor Welhavein advised this matter had been investigated <br />and under__the law, this is the only treatment that can be <br />given to this property.
