2 723 <br />1 <br />- MEETING OF May 23, 1968 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.~. with the following members <br />presents Acting Mayor Stone, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Ecklund and ffiack. <br />Mayor Warkentien arrived at 7x30 P.M. Also present were Treasurer Olsen, <br />Attorney Seed, and Engineer Lemberg. <br />Minutes ffiack moved, seconded by Strandquist that the minutes <br />of the meeting of May 9, 1968 be approved. Ayes! All. <br />Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Street Maintenance and Ecklund moved, seconded by Strandquist that the following <br />Seal Coat Project 1968s resolution be adopteds <br />Bids WHERF~tS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for <br />the Village Street Maintenance and Seal Coat Project <br />1968 which involves all Village streets north of <br />Larpenteur Avenue and west of Snelling Avenue and <br />other streets paved in~1967, namely Sheldon Streets <br />and a small portion of Arona Street, bids were received <br />and opened on May 22, 1968, tabulated according to law, <br />and the following bids were received complying with the <br />advertisements <br />1 <br />Allied Blacktop <br />Bituminous Roadways <br />Armor. Coat Company <br />and WHEREAS, it appears that Armor Coat Company <br />- of St. Paul, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, <br />~ 6,L~01.00 <br />~10a 7~.1~.00 <br />~ 6,276.50 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE <br />COUNCIL of Falcon Heights, Minnesotan <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into the aforesaid contract with Armor <br />Coat Company, in the name of the Village of Falcon <br />Heights for the Village Street Maintenance and Seal <br />Coat Project according to the plans and specifications <br />therefor approved by the Village Council and on file in <br />the office of the Village Clerk. <br />1 <br />2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposit <br />made with their bids, except that the deposits of the <br />successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be <br />retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Upon a vote being taken, the following for same= <br />Warkentien, Strandquist, Black, Ecklund and Stone and <br />the folloari.ng voted against same: None. l~hereupon <br />said resolution was declared passed and adopted. <br />Lane <br />Striping of Larpenteur Ecklund moved, seconded by Strandquist that letter be <br />Avenues addressed to Deane Anklan requesting lane striping on <br />Larpenteur Avenue within ten days. <br />
