2 72l~ <br />State Fair Car Mr. Gerring was present and submitted plot plan for re- <br />wash Remodeling modeling of State Fair Car Wash, 1693 North Snelling Avenue. <br />Approveds He stated he wants to lease„the car wash, and would <br />appreciate council approval of Phillips Petroleum Company <br />plan drawn May 16, 1968. The type of operation he <br />proposes is completely automated car washing which is <br />done with drivers remaining in the car. Plot plan and <br />method of operations were discussed. Black moved, <br />seconded by Warkentien that the village council approve <br />the proposed changes as per above-mentioned drawing for <br />the State Fair Car Wash, subject to review and approval <br />of the final plans by Engineer Lemberg. Ayess All, Nayst <br />None. Motion was carried. <br />Ratification of action Stone moved, seconded by Strandquist that the Village <br />taken on variance request council at this time ratify the action taken in the <br />for garage at 1l~36 West alley on May 9, 1968, in approving the application <br />California Avenues _ for variance permit for William E. Swenson, 1t~36 West <br />California Avenue for location of the garage. Ayess <br />A11.. Nayst_ None. Motion was carried. <br />Ratification of action Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien that the action taken <br />taken in approving and on May 9, 1968 to pay the bills, be ratified at this t3.me <br />paying bills May 9, by the Village Council. Ayes Warkentien, Strandquist, <br />1968: Black, Ecklund and Stone... Nays=_ None. Motion was carried. <br />Communicationsa <br />Water Department of Letter of May 21, 1968 from Clifford W. Hamblin, General <br />Saint Paul -Building Manager of Saint Paul Water Department advised in part <br />Permits issued by that red tag has been placed.on two homes under <br />Falcon Heights construction on Sheldon Street because building blue- <br /> prints were not marked t~accepted" by the Engineering <br /> Division of the Water Department. Letter also stated <br /> that proper procedure was not follanred as the plumbing <br /> portion has been started by individuals not licensed <br /> to do this work. Tk~is letter and letter of November 16, <br /> 1967 from the Water Department were referred to Attorney <br /> Seed. <br />Highway Department - Letter dated May 21, 1968 from John J. Harbinson, Chief <br />Protective Headgear Minnesota Highway Patrol enclosed copy of Minnesota <br />Motorcycle Riders= ~ Standards for Protective Headgear to be worn by Motor- <br />cycle Riders. <br />Ramsey County Law Ramsey County Law Enforcement Bulletin for all contract <br />Enforcement Bulletin villages for the month of April was reviewed. <br />April= <br />State Archives Commission Letter from the State Archives Commission was in answer <br />Destruction of Reco rdsa to:Village Clerks request to destroy certain records. <br />Resolution of Board of Copy of Resolution No. 9-9203 of Ramsey County Commissioners, <br />Cou~aty Commission - dated May 20, 1968, was regarding Office of Economic <br />Office of Economic Opportunity recognition to Community Action Agency. <br />Opportunity Recognitions <br />Letter from Sigurd Bertelsen, Postmaster, advised that <br />U. S. Post Office Post Office Department is anxious to give any assistance <br />Voter Registration ppossible on voter registration or voter registration <br />Assistances 3.nformation. <br />
