2 <br />Committee on Human Committee on Human Rights held meeting on June 25, <br />Rights 1968. No action taken. <br />Application for <br />Variance - 1503-~ An application for variance was received from Roger <br />Brown <br />1503-~ West Larpenteur <br />Avenue <br />He <br />d t <br /> , <br />: <br />. <br />propose <br />o <br />West Larpenteur: build a double garage 20 x ~!~ on his lot on the north <br /> side of Larpenteur and also wishes to raze old one. <br /> Black moved that his request be granted sub~eet to <br /> approval of Planning Commission and provided the new <br /> structure is no closer to the alley than the old one. <br /> Motion was seconded by Stone and passed unanimously. <br />Proposed Increase Black moved that the following resolution be passed: <br />in Gas Rates: <br /> Ramsey County suburban communities are authorizing a <br /> study in connection with the proposed increase in <br /> gas rates. Such study is to be; authorized after forth®r <br /> _ consideration and the cost to be apportioned on a <br /> population basis but not to exc®ed ~b00 as the share by <br /> Falcon Heights. This assumes that the majority of <br /> Ramsey County communities will participate. Motion <br /> was duly seconded by Stone. Upon a vote being taken, <br /> the motion was passed unanimously. <br />Tree Plantings A motion was made by Warkentien and seconded by Black <br /> to request the village attorney to prepare an amendment <br />' to Ordinance 59 specifying that no trees will be <br /> permitted on voulevards along new streets or on older <br /> streets which do not now have boulevard streets. Arty <br /> trees planted on private property must be no closer <br /> than five feet from front property line. Resolution <br /> was approved unanimously. <br />Investments: Strandquist moved, seconded by Stone that Treasurer <br /> Olsen be authorized to make the following investments: <br /> Mature <br /> Account No. 2 Larp. Motion was carried. <br />Spiegler Request for Relative to the request of Mr. Spiegler, he will be <br />ono parking 20 fast' reminded that he promised to install a light at the <br />signs turn aroundt recently installed. Until then no action <br />will be taken on installing ono parking 20 feet sign. <br />(see minutes of April 25, 1968) <br />
