2 773 <br />construct, in con3unction with the Village of <br />Roseville Minnesota a six inch water main located <br />on Hamline Avenue betwreen Larpenteur Avenue and <br />Roselawn Avenues and _ <br />WHEREAS the Council has been advised by the <br />Village Engineer that the proposed improvement is <br />feasible and should best be made as proposed, and <br />the Village Engineer's report to this effect has <br />heretofore been received by the Council, and <br />WHEREAS, the statute provides that no such <br />improvements shall be made until the Council shall <br />have held a public hearing on such improvement <br />following two publications in the official newspaper <br />of a notice stating time and place of the hearing <br />the general nature of the improvement, the estimated <br />costs thereof, and the area proposed to be assessed. <br />NOW, TIiEREF'ORE, BE ST RESOLVED by the Village <br />Council of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota: <br />1. A public hearing will be held in the Village <br />of Falcon Heights, Minnesota in the Village Ha]1 nn <br />the 17td1 day of October 1968 at 8x00 o~clock P.M, to <br />consider said proposed improvement. <br />2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to cause notice of said hearing to be given <br />two publications in the official newspaper:... Said <br />publications shall be one week apart and at least three <br />days shall elapse bet~reen the last publication and <br />the hearing. Not less than ten days before the <br />hearing, the Clerk shall mail notice of the hearing <br />to the owner of each parcel of land within the area <br />to be assessed. <br />Motion was duly seconded by Stone and upon a vote <br />bejng taken the following voted in favor of sames <br />Warkentien, Strandquist~ Black, Ecklund and Stone <br />and the following voted against sames None. Motion <br />was carr3.ed• <br />Precinct No. ~t - Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien that the Village <br />Election Equipments Clerk be auahorized to purchase an additional table <br />for_use by election fudges at Precinct No. !t. Further <br />moved that two directional signs designating location <br />of polling place be purchased for Precinct No. 1~. Ayess <br />Warkentien, Strandquist~ Stone, Ecklund and Black. Nayss <br />None. Motion. was carried. <br />Special Meeting Stone moved,. seconded by Warkentien that a special meeting <br />_ Scheduleds be called for September 16, 1968 at 7s30 P.M. mainly <br />for the purpose of preparing the 1969 budget. Ayess <br />All. Nayss None. Motion was carried. <br />Sale of Christmas Tim Carlin of 1756 Holton made inquiry as to whether or <br />Trees= not he would be permitted to sell Christmas trees from <br />his home.
