Action was <br />tabled until the next regular meeting of the Village Council. <br />Letter from Office of Secretary of Minnesotans for Safe <br />Ulater Supplies dated October 1968 was read. <br />Department of Public Letter over signature of Eugene Avery, Chief Engineer of <br />Works - City of St. Paul Department of Public lnrorks enclosed executed <br />St. Paul - Revised agreement with St. Paul perta fining to inter-connection <br />Sewer Rental Billings: of public sewers. He expects that revised billings of <br />sewer rental charges .vri1T be transmitted to the Village <br />within a few weeks. <br /> Twin City Area Letter from Twin City Area Metropolitan Transit Commission <br /> T~Zetropolitan Transit dated September 26, 1968 included proposals from S. A. Caria <br /> Commission: to the Metropditan Transit Commission, on behalf of the <br /> Twin City Lines, Inc. It advised in part that <br />and Garden Avenues: Roseville has initiated public hearing procedure on this matter. <br />Village Council's Proposal <br />to Reorganize Fire Dept - Discussion regarding the Village Council's proposal for <br />Citizens' views aired: reorganization of the Falcon Heights Fire Department began <br />with P4ayor lruarkentien stating that Councilman Ecklund would <br />present the proposal to the people. The Mayor asked that <br />discussion from citizens present be reserved until after the <br />full presentation and that each citizen would be limited to <br />speaking twice. Norman Ecl--,land was introduced as councilman <br />in cha,~geof public safety which includes police and fire <br />depa.2~-tment. He made presentation of proposal which is dated <br />October 3, and includes the background, history, present costs, <br />comparisons, proposal, fire rating classification, costs if <br />change is made, capital improvements, improvement of fire <br />protection service and conclusion. Ecklund stated he would <br />recomrlend adoption of the changes. <br />
