2821 <br />MEETING OF NOVEMBER 27, 1968 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members <br />present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Stone and Ecklund, and Clerk Strandquist. <br />Also present were Attorney Seed and Engineer Lemberg. <br />Minutes: Warkentien moved, Stone seconded to accept the minutes of the <br />meeting of September 26, 1968 with reservation on the grounds <br />that the discussions which transpired that evening were not <br />fully recorded. Ayes: Unanimous. Motion carried. <br />Stone moved, Black sec arded that the minutes of the meeting <br />of November 14, 1968 be accepted as corrected. Ayes: All. <br />Nays: None. Motion carried. <br />Ecklund moved, Stone seconded that the minutes of the Special <br />Meeting of November 16, 1968 be approved as corrected. Ayes: <br />Unanimous. Motion carried. <br />Election Judges: It was brought to the attention of the Council that a <br />Chairman for the Election Judges in Precinct 2 had not <br />been pointed. Mrs. Edward Johnson was named Chairman. <br />Employees' Fringe Mr. Prifrel arrived at 7:30 P.M. to discuss employees' fringe <br />Benefits: benefits. The Council presented him with the 1969 salaried. <br />for the full-time employees of the Village. <br />Kenneth Quarn will receive $25.00 per month increase. <br />Maureen. McMullen will received $lt50.00 per month as salary. <br />Overtime: The Council proposed the Administrative Overtime <br />be computed on a quarterly basis allowing the Council more <br />flexibility. Anything over 520 hours in a three month period <br />would be considered overtime. Mr. Prifrel suggested the Council <br />use a two week period as basis instead~~-of the proposed three <br />months. He said that th is is a more common practice, yet still <br />leaves a certain amount of flexibility. The Council agreed to <br />c~nge the overtime policy to read: Computation of Overtime - <br />Determining Overtime would then be computed on a bi-weekly <br />basis constituting all hours of employment during the preceding <br />two week period. <br />The Holiday Sch~adule remained the same, but an increase over <br />the present vacation schedule was proposed. These were not <br />questioned by Mr. Frifrel. <br />Sick Leave: One change was made in the wo rding to clarify the <br />intent of Paragraph (a) - "Twenty-eight days of sick leave <br />if employed by the Council for a period of two years 'as of <br />January 1, 1967::" <br />Medical and Hospital: The Council will pay full premium for <br />its employees and all their dependents who are under the age of 21. <br />Insurance: The Council introduced a Term-Life Insurance Provision <br />in the amount of $2,000 for each employee. <br />The medical and hospital and insura~e provisions were not <br />questioned by Mr. Prifrel. <br />
