2821 MEETING OF NOVEMBER 27, 1968 The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Stone and Ecklund, and Clerk Strandquist. Also present were Attorney Seed and Engineer Lemberg. Minutes: Warkentien moved, Stone seconded to accept the minutes of the meeting of September 26, 1968 with reservation on the grounds that the discussions which transpired that evening were not fully recorded. Ayes: Unanimous. Motion carried. Stone moved, Black sec arded that the minutes of the meeting of November 14, 1968 be accepted as corrected. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried. Ecklund moved, Stone seconded that the minutes of the Special Meeting of November 16, 1968 be approved as corrected. Ayes: Unanimous. Motion carried. Election Judges: It was brought to the attention of the Council that a Chairman for the Election Judges in Precinct 2 had not been pointed. Mrs. Edward Johnson was named Chairman. Employees' Fringe Mr. Prifrel arrived at 7:30 P.M. to discuss employees' fringe Benefits: benefits. The Council presented him with the 1969 salaried. for the full-time employees of the Village. Kenneth Quarn will receive $25.00 per month increase. Maureen. McMullen will received $lt50.00 per month as salary. Overtime: The Council proposed the Administrative Overtime be computed on a quarterly basis allowing the Council more flexibility. Anything over 520 hours in a three month period would be considered overtime. Mr. Prifrel suggested the Council use a two week period as basis instead~~-of the proposed three months. He said that th is is a more common practice, yet still leaves a certain amount of flexibility. The Council agreed to c~nge the overtime policy to read: Computation of Overtime - Determining Overtime would then be computed on a bi-weekly basis constituting all hours of employment during the preceding two week period. The Holiday Sch~adule remained the same, but an increase over the present vacation schedule was proposed. These were not questioned by Mr. Frifrel. Sick Leave: One change was made in the wo rding to clarify the intent of Paragraph (a) - "Twenty-eight days of sick leave if employed by the Council for a period of two years 'as of January 1, 1967::" Medical and Hospital: The Council will pay full premium for its employees and all their dependents who are under the age of 21. Insurance: The Council introduced a Term-Life Insurance Provision in the amount of $2,000 for each employee. The medical and hospital and insura~e provisions were not questioned by Mr. Prifrel.
