2879 Parking - 1457 Mr. LoulS Payin, 1463 W. California, and Mr. Harold Schroder, and 1463 W. 1457 W. California, appeared to protest against the parking California situation in the vicinity of their homes due to the nearby apartments. Ecklund suggested that surveys be made and the complaining residents were asked to appear at the next council meeting. At this point Mayor Warkentien and Engineer Lemberg arrived and Mayor Warkentien presided over the rest of the meeting. Falcon Heights Several members of the Falcon Heights Recreation Committee Recreation appeared and presented the following recommendations: Committee: ~~Rsquest that the Falcon Heights Recreation Committee be authorized to enter into discussion with Roseville author- ities to determine the feasibility of joint recreational planning, including both facilities and planned recreational programs, and that future long range recommendations of the Committee include the alternative of jointly planned, con- ducted and financed programs which would serve the recreation- al needs of Falcon Heights residents. Request the Village Council ask that Mr. De Schriver work with the Committee to give recommendations for use of Fairground land for Village recreation.~~ They also asked that ice rink be flooded on Thursday or Fri- day nights instead of early in the week, and that higher pay be offered so that an older boy or grown man would accept the job of overseeing the rink. After discussion, Black moved, seconded by Warkentien, that the Committee be authorized to enter into discussions with Roseville recreational author- ities to determine possibility of joint recreational planning. Motion carried.
