2886 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT i~ESOLVED by the Village Council <br />of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota: <br />1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which are <br />on file in the Clerks office and made a part hereof, are <br />hereby approved. <br />2. The Village Clerk shall prepare and cause to be <br />inserted in the official newspaper, and in the Construction <br />Bulletin, and advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved plans and specifications. <br />The advertisement shall specify the work to be done, shall <br />state that the bids shall be publicly opened at 8:00 P.M. <br />June 12, 1969 in the Village Hall of said Village and shall <br />state that no bids shall be considered unless sealed and filed <br />with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's <br />check, bid bond or .certified check payable to the Clerk for <br />5~ of the amount of such bid. <br />The motion was duly seconded by Taylor and passed unanimously. <br />Appointment of Mayor Warkentien moved B1.ack seconded that Gary Wicks, grad- <br />Recreation Dir- uate of St. Olaf College be appointed the new summer Recrea- <br />ector: tion Director of Falcon Heights at a salary of $1,000. It <br />is an eight week summer recreation program. The University <br />has promised to grade the University Groove Playground. Also <br />that we should authorize Gary Wicks to check into hiring <br />employees for 5 days a week for the summer program. Motion <br />carried. <br />Warkentien moved, Black seconded that the Recreation Director <br />arrange to employ someone for a morning recreation program on <br />the University Grove Playground providing said playground is <br />graded and sodded. Motion Carried. <br />Aerial Photograph Taylor moved and Black seconded authorization for Lemberg to <br />of Village: obtain an aerial photo of the Village. Motion was carried. <br />Screen Fencing Discussion was held regarding fencing the back of the Village <br />Back of Village: Hall.
