2897 <br />MEETING OF JULY 10, 1969 <br />The regular meeting of July 10, 1969 was called to order at 7:10 P.M. with the follow- <br />ing members present: Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Black and Stone. Attorney Seed, Engin- <br />eer Lemberg, and Treasurer Olsen. (Mayor Warkentien and Councilman Ecklund arrived <br />shortly.) <br />Leiberg Clerk Taylor read a copy of a letter written by Engineer Lemberg <br />'Company - to Lieberg Construction Company reminding therm. that they are <br />Sodding: behind schedule on sodding work. <br />Employment Clerk Taylor read an application and resume for employment on a <br />Applications: full or part time basis from Richard J. Geisen, also an application <br />from Elizabeth Te1ke for recreation program employment. <br />June 12 The minutes of the June 12, 1969 meeting were reviewed. Council- <br />Minutes: man Black moved, seconded by Clerk Taylor, that they be approved <br />as corrected. Motion passed. <br />June 26 The minutes of the June 26, 19b9 meeting were reviewed. Clerk <br />Minutes: Taylor moved, seconded by Councilman Stone, that they be approved <br />as corrected. Motion passed. <br />Sewer Cleaning: Ken Quarn, Village Maintenance Man, was present to report on his <br />activities in the Village. Engineer Lemberg suggested that profes- <br />sional cleaners be employed to clean sewers of roots, etc. in the <br />Maple Kno11 - Garden area, the cost of said project to be approx- <br />imately $250 to $300. Councilman Stone moved that Engineer Lemberg <br />be authorized to contract for the cleaning of sewer lines in the <br />Maple Knoll - Garden area. Motion seconded by Mayor Warkentien <br />and passed. <br />Patching Ken Quarn also reported that the patching job project being done by <br />Project: Armor Coat Company is progressing. <br />New Street Engineer Lemberg was asked about the new street signs which have <br />Signs: been ordered. He reported that delivery has been promised in ten <br />days. These signs will be installed by Mr. Quarn. <br />Snelling Idaho There have been water drainage problems at the Snelling - Idaho <br />Drainage: Playgrounds. It was decided to watch the situation and authorize <br />pumping if necessary. <br />Assistance Mr. Mike Noonan, Justice of the Peace, appeared before Council to <br />at Court: request thet the Deputy Clerk be present at court to make entries, <br />receive fine money, etc. Time involved would be approximately <br />~5 minutes two ni.tes a week." The name of Ben Kuefler was mention- <br />ed as a possibility. Councilman Stone suggested that this matter <br />be imrestigated~and brought up for decision at a later meeting. <br />Bids - Hamline At 8:00 P.M. bids were opened for Hamline Ave. Water Main replace- <br />Water Main went. They were as follows: Arnold Kraft & Co. - total bid <br />Replacement: $9,697.20. Work to be started Aug. 1, completed Aug. 20. Min- <br />Kota Co. - combined total $13,359.30. Work to be started Sept. <br />1969, completed Oct. 1969. Austin P. Keller - combined total <br />$12,5.0. Work to be started in 10 days, completed asspecified. <br />
