2983 <br />1970 respectfully, copies of which reports are on file <br />in the office of the Village Clerk and made a part here- <br />of by reference, and <br />WIDrREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Falcon <br />Heights has reviewed the request for said variance and con- <br />ditional use permit, and has reviewed the reports of the <br />Village Engineer and the Planning Commission, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Falcon Heights <br />Village Council that <br />1. There are no practical difficulties or particular <br />hardships i.u carrying out the strict letter of the regula- <br />tions of this ordi~anc®. <br />2. The proposed variance is not in keeping with the <br />character and development of the immediate neighborhood. <br />3. The granting of the request for a variance is not <br />. necessary for the preservation and enjoyment of a substan- <br />tial property right of the applicant. <br />!~. The granting of the proposed variance will. impair <br />an adequate supply of light and air to ad3aceat property, <br />unreasonably increase the congestion in the public streets, <br />increase the danger of fire, endanger the public safety, <br />unreasonably diminish and impair established property val- <br />ues in the susrnunding area, and otherwise impair health, <br />safety, comforts, morals or i.n an+y other respect to be con- <br />trax~r to the intent of ordinance No. 6l~, as amended, and <br />the comprehensive plan of the Village. <br />5. The plans pertaining to said request are deficient <br />because they fail to show drainage, elevation, landscaping <br />and storage space in connection with the proported building. <br />6. The request for the variance and conditional use <br />permit is denied. <br />Ecklund seconded, and upon a vote, the resolution was <br />declared unanimously passed. <br />Variance Request - Black moved that the application for variance submitted by <br />18I~6 Arona Avenue: Richard A. 5hibrowski, 1816 Arona Avenue, to construct a <br />double garage at the rear of the present sigle garage, be <br />referred to the Planning Commission for recommendation. <br />Stone seconded and the motion carried. <br />Variance Request - Black moved that the application for variance submitted by <br />1735 Asbury Avenue: Floyd Schmid, 1735 Asbury Avenue, to build a redwood deck <br />in the rear yard, be referred to the Planning Commission <br />subject to his submitting further information of the plans. <br />Ecklund seconded and the motion carried. <br />New Members of A recreation program meeting will be held on Monday, June 1, <br />Recreation Staff: 1970, at the Village Hall. New members of the staff are, <br />Donna Seline, Director, David Gordon, Assistant Director, <br />Phil McCartney, Roxanne .Kohler, Instructors. <br />
