1862 <br />aFrost Charge" Bills On review of a bill from Northern States Power for "frost <br />charges" for installation of gas to the Idaho-Snelling <br />Warming House, it was decided to object in that application <br />for the. connection Was made when the ground Was not frozen. <br />Fire Calls: In the case of afire call it shall be the duty of the <br />first fireman arriving at the station to call the Sheriffs <br />radio to notify the police officer of the location of the <br />fire or other emergency so that he may promptly perform <br />hi: duties of traffic direction and protection as listed <br />in the procedure directive of November 21, 1962, from Fire <br />Chief Helbig and Police Commissioner Arndt. <br />Snow Removal After a discussion of the Council and the Village Attorney <br />Ordonances With corrections for clarity, it Was moved by Shavor and <br />seconded by Warkentien, that Ordinance #67 to regulate <br />vehicle parking to facilitate snout removal be adopted. <br />Passed unanimously - The ordinance is to be effective upon <br />publication. <br />Check Signatures: The question of allowing the Deputy Treasurer to sign <br />checks for the Treasurer when the Treasurer is not avail- <br />able was reviewed. No action was taken. <br />Iowa Curb and Gutter RESOLUTION FOR HEARING ON PROPOSED <br />Improvements ASSESSMENT <br />WHEREAS, by a Resolution passed by the Council on <br />December 26, 1962, the Village Clerk was directed to <br />prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of improving <br />Iowa Avenue between the east line of Arone Avenue and <br />the West line of Hamline Avenue by construction of curbs <br />and gutters, and, <br />WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that <br />such proposed assessment has been completed and filed <br />in this office for public inspection, <br />NCAf THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council <br />of Falcon Heights, Minnesotan <br />(1) A hearing shall be held at 8:OQ P.M. on February <br />13, 1963, to pass upon such proposed assessment on such <br />time or place all persons awning property affected by such <br />improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with <br />reference to such assessment. <br />(2) The Village Clerk is hereby directed to cause <br />a notice of hearing on the proposed assessment to be <br />published once in the official newspaper at least two <br />Weeks prior to the hearing, and he shall state in the notice <br />the total cost of the improvement. <br />(3) The Clerk shall give such mailed notices to all <br />persons owning propety affected by such improvement, as <br />is required by law. <br />~'I <br />1 <br />1 <br />I <br />
