1869 <br />REGULAR HEFTING FEBR~TARY 13, 1963 <br />1 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following <br />members being presents Harold C. Nilsen, Mayor; George Shaver, Trustee; <br />Willis Warkentien, Trustee; Charles Stone, Trustee; ald W. A. Mortensen, <br />Clerk. A1ao present were William E. Olsen, Treasurer; Brad Lemberg, <br />Village Engineer; and Michael Galvin, Village Attorney. <br />The minutes of the Special Meeting of February 6, 1963 were approved <br />as read. <br />1962 Engineering Costs: A letter from Bonestroo, Rosene & Associates, <br />Inc. dated February ll, 1963 was read by Mr. <br />Mortensen. Costs included work on Municipal <br />State Aid Work, Village Construction, Council <br />Meeting Attendance, Reports, Studies, etc. <br />and Inspection Work on Streets and Sewers. <br />S®veral members of the Council thought the <br />charges were very reasonable. <br />1 <br />Deputy Clerk and Mr. Mortensen appointed Mr. Norman Gilbert <br />Deputy Treasurers as Deputy Clerk., Mr. Olsen appointed Mr. <br />Gilbert as Deputy Treasurer. His salary <br />to be ~ltCfl.00 per month - moved by Warkentien <br />and seconded by Shaver that the appointments <br />be approved. Passed <br />~ddressograph Machines Mr. Mortensen checked the cost of a machine <br />and stated that it would cost X230.00 plus <br />freight charges. The plates would cost 12¢ <br />to 15¢ each - total cost of plates would be <br />$150.00 and a cabinet would cost ~3l~.00. <br />Having this work done would cost X35.00 to <br />X40.00 per year plus the cost of making the <br />plates. In six years the machine would <br />pay far itself. Mr. Shaver moved that a <br />reconditioned machine for mailing out sewer <br />rental bills be purchased and Mr. Stone <br />seconded the motion. Passed <br />Village Fire Rates: On February 7, 1963 an inspection was made <br />by the Board of Fire IInderwri.ters of the <br />Fire House and the Village Hall for the <br />purpose of a possible lower fire rate. <br /> <br />Membership to Fire On motion by Mr. Shaver, seconded by Mr. <br />Chief~a Associations Stone that a X5.00 yearly fee for membership <br />in the Fire Chiefs Association be paid. <br />Passed' <br />Traffic Recorder On motion by Mr. Nilsen and seconded by <br />Hose: Mr. Shaver it was agreed to purchase a <br />traffic recorder hose. Motion carried <br />
