Mr. Mortensen read the pub- <br />lished notice of the Proposed Assessment for <br />the improvement of Iowa Ave. between the east <br />line of Arena Ave. and the west line of <br />Hemline Ave. by the construction of curbs and <br />gutters. The fallowing is the area proposed <br />to be asaQssed; all property abutting on Iowa <br />between the east line of Arone Avenue and the <br />west line of Hemline Avenue. <br />The proposed assessment is on file for public <br />inspection at the office of the Village Clerk. <br />Written or oral objections will be considered <br />at the hearing. The total cost of the Improve-~ <br />ment is X9858.00. The assessment rate of <br />X2.50 per front foot applies as in the past. <br />Moved by Nilsen, seconded by Warkentien - <br />Passed. <br />$ESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant tb proper notice duly <br />given as required by law, the council has met <br />and heard and passed upon all ob3ections to <br />the proposed assessment for the improvement <br />of Iowa givenue between the East line ofA~rona <br />Avenue and the Weat line of Hemline Avenue by <br />construction of curbs and gutters, <br />NUS THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED B'3C TAE <br />VILLAGE COUNCIL OF FALCON HEIGHTS MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of <br />which is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof, is hereby accepted and shall consti- <br />tute the special assessment against the lands <br />named therein, and each tract of land therein <br />included is hereby found to be benefited by they <br />proposed improvement in the amount of the <br />assessment levied against it. <br />2. Such assessment shall be payable in <br />equal annual installa~ts ~xt°ssding over a <br />period of five years, the first of the <br />installments to be payable on or before the <br />first Monday in January, 1961 and shall bear <br />interest at the rate of aix per cent per annum <br />from the date of the adoption of this assessment <br />resolution.
