1907 <br />REGULAR T~ETING MAY 8, 1963 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7:C~0 P.M. with the following <br />members being present: Harold C. Nilsen, PRayor; George 5havor; Trustee; <br />Willis Warkentien, Trustee; Charles Stone, Trustee; and W, A. Iuiortenson, <br />Clerk. Also present were Brad Lemberg, Engineer and Michael Galvin, <br />Village Attorney. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of April 21~th and the special meeting <br />of ~qay 1st were approved. <br />License Applications It was moved by Stone, seconded by Shavor that the <br />application of Ryan Plumbing and Heating Co. for a <br />P1laster Plumbers License is approved conditionally <br />pending filing of necessary bond. <br />Freeway Access Roadss A letter was read from the Board of Ramsey County <br /> Commissioners regarding any contemplated naming or <br /> changing of names of any access roads to freeways <br /> so that the State Highway Department can plan its <br /> signing accordingly and eliminate costly changes. <br />Civil Defense On request of the Board of County Commissioners, <br />Administration: for the council to take formal action as to its <br /> attitude toward the combining of the administrative <br /> facilities of the Ramsey County Civil Defense with <br /> the Civil. Defense Dept, of the City of 5t. Paul, <br /> it was moved by ldiortenson, seconded by Stone that <br /> we oppose the combination. Passed. <br />Zaier Variance Action on the variance application of George 0. <br />Application: Zaier to extend garage was postponed pending <br /> report from the Planning Commission as to defi- <br /> Hite establishment of Iot line from a certified <br /> plat. <br />Water Departments A letter was read from the Board of Water Corrr- <br /> missioners recommending that for any new building <br /> construction where a water connection will be made <br /> that the regulations of the 1~ater Department re- <br /> garding pipe sizing, materials, and locations be <br /> followed and a copy of letter to be sent to West, <br /> Plumbing Inspector and ~~agnuson, Building Inspector. <br />B & E Patrols In nevi gyring the bills from the B & E Patrol, <br /> there was criticism far their lack of information <br /> and it was recommended by the council that a <br /> representative of B & E Patrol be requested to <br /> appear at an early council meeting to provide <br /> some explanation. <br />
