1977 <br />Lindig Street - approximately $ 17,000 <br />dater for North Snelling Avenue 8,000 <br />General Obligation <br />Improvement Bonds - <br />Proposals <br />It was estimated that approximately X180,000 will be <br />needed to finance these pro3ects. <br />Stone moved, Mortenson seconded that the following <br />proposal made by Juran and Moody be authorized by the <br />Village Council.: <br />Juran and Moody will work with officials, engineers, and <br />attorney to set up a program of revenue necessary to <br />adequately service the bonds to be issued and will <br />cooperate with attorney in the preparation of the <br />necessary proceedings that must be taken prior to the <br />issuance of such bonds. <br />As part of arrangement, t}~e3~' to purchase x$180,000, <br />more or less general obligation improvement bonds to be <br />dated October 1, 1963, at par and accrued interest, to <br />be payable serially over a period of not to exceed 20 <br />years, all bonds maturing after the 18th year to be <br />callable in 2 years from date of issue or any interest <br />payment date thereafter, at a price of 103. In addition, <br />all bonds maturing after the 10th year to be callable in <br />10 years from date of issue or any interest payment date <br />thereafter at a price of 103, and all bonds to be payable <br />at a bank to be designated. All bonds shall bear <br />interest, payable semi-annual, at an average annual <br />net interest rate not to exceed 3.70%. <br />This bid is made by Juran and Moody for prompt acceptance <br />and subject to the unqualified approval of Briggs and <br />Morgan, attorneys, as to the legality and regularity <br />of all proceedings had in the issuance of said bonds. <br />It is further understood and agreed that these bonds will <br />be delivered. to Juran and Moody on or before October 7, <br />1963 or at their option thereafter. <br />Juran and Moody agree to pay for the necessary approving <br />legal opinion. They also agree to pay for the cost of <br />priming said bonds. <br />Upon a vote being taken, the foregoing proposal was duly <br />accepted by the Village Council of Falcon Heights, <br />Minnesota this 28th day of August, 1963, <br />Civil Defense: Falcon Heights Civil Defense Director Stanley Schultz <br />was present and he and Mayor Nilsen advised that they had <br />consulted with officials of Civil Defense and were advised <br />that the village will be furnished with trucks and welfare <br />labor from the City of Saint Paul, and under Schultz <br />supervision should mare shelter supplies into the University <br />shelters. An expenditure of approximately X1.00 for truck <br />driver service was requested of the Village. Action on <br />this matter wad tabled. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
