1978 <br />Filling Station Pumps Council was advised that if there are two hoses on <br />and Hoses: one housing with each of the hoses giving a different <br />grade of gasoline, this is considered two pumps, and <br />charges should be made accordingly. <br />Falcon Heights Cities Council was advised that Mr. Leonard is running a used <br />Service Station - car lot contrary to the ordinances of the Village of <br />Used Car Sales s Falcon Heights. Deputy Clerk was instructed to write <br />this station and state that license cannot be approved <br />until such time as he complies with ordinance. <br />Fire Department Drill: The Council was advised that during a practice drill <br />on the wilding which houses Gray's Drug Store, one of <br />the letters on a sign was damaged and put out of use. <br />Schul,~y inquired as to insurance. Furthermore, the Council <br />was advised that this was partially due to the fact that <br />the department boys have not had enough practice drills. <br />The Fire Department officers recognize this and will take <br />the necessary steps to remedy. <br />Roberts Apartment Building: <br />It was the intention of Roberts Construction Company to <br />put clothes poles on the ten foot buffer zone adjacent <br />to the rear property line. Letter from Attorney Galvin <br />dated August 27 stated that the Resolution granting the <br />building permit i~iay 15, 1963 requires a ten foot setback <br />between the rear property line and the north edge of the <br />off-street parking. <br />Council was also advised that Roberts is also connecting <br />the two areas of asphalt. This is in vio]a tion of <br />ordinance and it was agreed by the Council that the <br />requirements of the ordinance must be enforced. <br />Attorney Galvin will contact John Daubney, Attorney, <br />regarding this matter, and the building inspector will <br />be instructed to hang a red tag to halt work on the parking <br />lot. <br /> Building Permit Mayor Nilsen would propose that buildingpermits be issued <br /> Issued in two parts: in two parts - the first Part A could be for the building <br /> itself, and Part B to be issued by Village Engineer when <br /> parking lot is to be commenced. <br /> Engineer Lemberg <br /> Before signs were put up from noon July 25 to noon July 26 <br /> Traffic Counters there were 826 cars. After 'No Traffic' signs were <br /> in Maple Knoll: installed and from noon August 27 to noon August 28, there <br /> were 68?~ cars. Heaviest count before signs was from lt:00 <br /> to 5:00 with 350 cars; after signs were put up, there <br /> were 102 cars. The next heaviest count.before signs were <br />put ~ was from 7:00 A,M. to 8:00 B,M, and was 59 cars, <br /> and after signs were put up, there were 61 cars. <br /> Traffic Signs: It was agreed that signs reading 'Not fctt~ Thru Traffic' <br /> would be more suitable than the existing signs reading <br /> 'No Thru Traffic,' Engineer will arrange for the change. <br />
