2033 <br />Lindig Street -Grading Trustee Shavor introduced the follcming Resolution <br />Project - and moved its adoptions <br />Contract Awarded: WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids <br />for the improvement of Lindig Street,-bids were <br />received and opened on October 28, 1963 and <br />referred to the Village Consulting Engineer for <br />report at the meeting of November 13, 1963, and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that LaValle Construction Co. <br />of Hugo, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, <br />NCB, THEREFORE, BE .IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF THE VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The aa~yor and clerk are hereby authorized <br />end directed to enter into the attached contract <br />with LaValle Construction of Hugo, Minnesota in the <br />name of the Village of Falcon Heights for the improve- <br />ment of Lindig Street from the North line of Larpen- <br />teur Avenue to a point 128t~ feet North of said line <br />by providing a driving surface 30 feet wide and <br />improve the same by grading and base cons traction <br />which shall include stripping top soil from ex- <br />cavation area, excavating the proposed roadway to <br />the wid~,h and elevations shown on the plan, shaping <br />the boulevards, cutting in the drainage ditch <br />required in the drainage easement and placing and <br />compacting the gravel base, according to the plans <br />and specifications therefore approved by the village <br />council. and on file in the office of the village clerk. <br />2. .The village clerk is hereby authorized <br />and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that <br />the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has <br />been signed. <br />Adopted by the Village Council this, 13th day of <br />November, 1963. <br />Mayor <br />f <br />ler <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution <br />was duly seconded by Warkentien and upon a vote being <br />taken, all members present voted in favor of said <br />resolution, whereupon said resolution was declared <br />duly passed and adopted. <br />
