2037 <br />George Zaier Garage fir. Krumm of 1901 Simpson was present regarding a garage <br />1892 Arona: being built at 1892 Arona which is part of Juhl's Addition <br />and which garage is being cons tructed contrary to the <br />deed restrictions. Mr. Krumm was advised that the Village <br />has no knowledge of any restrictive covenants in the <br />Village, and that the property owners themselves are <br />responsible for any action they feel must be taken. <br />However, the building inspector has advised Attorney <br />Galvin that no building permit has been issued for <br />construction of a garage and suet building, is therefore <br />unauthorized. Because of this, the building inspector <br />will be requested to place a red tag on the work. <br />Attorney will contact all persons involved, Zaier, <br />his attorney, and the building inspector, no later <br />than Friday of this week. <br />Double Garages There was discussion regarding future construction <br />of double garages, <br />Licenses approved: <br />Master Plumberts Upon examination by Attorney Galvin of the bondsand <br />certificates of insurance submitted by the following, <br />_ and upon adv3.sing that both were filed in conformance <br />with the provisions of Ordinance No. ~.5, Mortenson <br />moved, Stone seconded that licenses be granted. Gustafson Company <br />5820 Cedar Avenue, -Minneapolis, Minn. <br />Police Department - Galvin advised that some business places in the Village <br />have been using the Justice of the Peace Court as a <br />Bad Checks: collection agency. It appears that the businesses <br />have reported to the Police Department regarding bad <br />checks received. Police Officer has then tried to <br />contact the writer of the bad check, and if successful, <br />the writer usually pays to the officer the amount of <br />the check. The business man is then reluctant to <br />press charges. It was recommended by the Attorney <br />that Justice of the Peace discourage any extra activi- <br />ties and concern itself mainly with traffic cases. <br />It was also recommended that whenconfronted with a <br />case of felony, same be referred to the Ramsey County <br />Attorney. <br />Bi11s: Motion was made by Stone, seconded by Shavor that tie <br />following bills be paid.
