2051 <br />Weed Inspectors Mortensen moved the appointment of William P, Carroll <br />as Weed Inspector for the Year 196?. Seconded by <br />Black and carried. <br />Police Commissioners Warkentien moved the appointment of Donald E, Arndt <br />as Police Coannissioner for the year 196l~, Seconded <br />by Stone and carried. <br />Planning Commissions Nilsen moved the appointment of ~. L. Hindermann, and <br />Leo S. Ohman to the Planning Commission, their terms to <br />expire December 31, 1966. Mortensen seconded motion <br />and it was carried. <br />Planning Consultantss Black moved, seconded by Nilsen that the firm of Midwest <br />Planning and Research be retained as Alarming consultants <br />for the year 196l~. Carried, <br />Official Depository: Mortensen moved that the following Resolution be adopted= <br />RESOLVED, that the Falcon Heights State Bank of Falcon <br />Heights, Minnesota be and is hereby designated as a <br />depository for the funds of the village of Falcon Heights <br />and that the Village Treasurer is authorized to deposit <br />General village Funds therein to the amount of forty-five <br />the n s and dollars (~l~5, 000) , <br />RESOLVED FURTHER that the present collateral furnished by <br />the Falcon Heights State Bank consisting of forty-thousand <br />dollars (~1~0,000) face value of U. S. Govt. Obligations <br />accompanied by an assignment providing that in case of <br />default on the part of the Falcon Heights State Bank, the <br />Council has full power and authority to seal the collateral <br />or so much as may be necessary to realize the full aunt <br />due the municipality, is hereby approved, said collateral <br />having a market value in excess of 10~ over the amount of <br />the above authorized deposit in excess of the amount <br />guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. <br />RESOLVED FURTHER that checks of the Village of Falcon ' <br />Heights drawn upon the said bank account shall be honored <br />by said bank only if signed by the Mayor, the Clerk, and <br />the Treasurer of the Village of Falcon Heights, Minnesota. <br />RESOLVED FURTHER that this designation shall be effective <br />until the end of the present council year. <br />The motion was seconded by Black, and upon a vote being, <br />taken, the following vote was recordeds Nilsen -aye, <br />Warkentien -aye, Mortensen -aye, Stone -aye, Black -aye. <br />Safety Deposit Boxs Motion made by Nilsen, seconded by Black to continue <br />renting a safe~yr deposit box at the Falcon Heights State Bank. <br />Carried. <br />Official Newspapers Discussion was held regarding designating the official <br />newspaper four the Village. The appointment was tabled <br />until the next regular meeting. <br />Posting Places: On motion by Warkentien, seconded by Stone and unanimously <br />carried, the following posting places were designated for <br />the year 196I~ s <br />
