2050 <br />Tank Truck Sales Tt was agreed that if final payment on the tank truck <br />is not received by January 15th, Sta~tey Schultz of <br />the Fire Department shall call St. Joseph, Minnesota in <br />an effort to determine what action must be taken to <br />close this sale. <br />Treess <br />Open3ng-of Bidss The three bids received xere opened at 8s00 P,M, <br />It was moved by Stone, seconded by Nilsen that the <br />Council re3ect all three bids submitted and request <br />the Village Tree Consultant to negotiate with Lakeland <br />Tree Service for trimming and removal of the forty-three <br />trees mentioned in the specifications, provided work can <br />proceed immediately or within a reasonable time. Also <br />xork should include removal of the following five tree <br />stumps: 1809 Asbury, 1831 Asbury, 1783 Holton, 133 <br />California, 1}53 W, Idaho. Upon a vote being taken, <br />tie above motion was carried. It was suggested that <br />under Item No. 10 of Mork To B® Accomplished, this <br />should read ~. .they shall be cut to two inches <br />below the ground line so that sod can be put on top.n <br />The last paragraph of contract shall then be changed to <br />read ". ,at cost per unit sacred to tyro inches below <br />the ground line. n -`+'"- <br />Appointments for Year <br />196l~s Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien that the fib of <br />Attorneys: Briggs and Morgan be retained as Village Attorneys for <br />the year 19611 provided that the representative of the <br />firm attending the meetings and representing the Village <br />be Michael J. Galvin, Jr. Motion was unanimously carried. <br />Acting Mayors In the absence of Mayor Nilsen, Willis Warkentien xas <br />appointed Acting Mayor. <br />Engineers: Nilsen moved, seconded by Warkentien that the firm of <br />Bonestroo, Rosene and Associates be retained as <br />engineers for the year 196., Motion carried. <br />Building Inspectors Nilsen moved seconded by Black that Richard Magnuson <br />be retained as building inspector far the year 196l~. <br />Motion carried. <br />Civil Defense Director: Mortenson moved, seconded by Warkentien that Stanley <br />Schultz be re-appointed Civil Defense Director for the <br />year 196l~. Motion carried. <br />Electrical Inspectors Nilsen moved, seconded by Stone that Gilman doe be <br />appointed as Electrical Inspector for the year 19611, <br />Motion carried. <br />Gas Inspectors Warkentien moved, seconded by Nilsen that Frank B. Eha <br />be appointed as gas inspector fob the year 19611. Motion <br />carried. <br />Plumbing Inspector: Stone moved, seconded by Black that Winfield West be <br />re-appointed as Plumbing Inspector for the 3rear 196l~. <br />Motion carried, <br />
