2057 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT ON IP~PROVEMENT OF <br />CALIFORNIA AVENUE FROAZ THE WEST LINE OF HAMLTNE AVENUE <br />TO THE E~.ST LINE OF ARONA AVENUE BY THE <br />INSTALLATION OF CURBS AND GUTTERS <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve California <br />Avenue between the West Line of Hemline Avenue to the <br />East line of Arona Avenue by the installation of curbs <br />and gutters, and to assess the benefited property for <br />all or a portion of the cost of the improvement, pursuant <br />to Minn. Statutes Secs. 1129.011 to Ja29.111, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />That the proposed improvement be referred to Bonestroo, <br />Rosene, and Associates for study and they are instructed to <br />report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the <br />council in a preliminary way as to whither the proposed <br />improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best <br />be made as proposed or in connection with some other <br />improvement, and the estimated cost of the improvement as <br />recommended. <br />Upon a vote being taken, the motion passed azd this <br />Resolution was adopted by the Council this 22nd day of <br />January, 196l~. <br />+~ ~~~ ~~ ~~~ c <br />ai~yorr <br />er <br />Zaier Garage: George Zaier has obtained building permit and is now <br />1892 Arona constructing an additional garage. Inasmuch as no village <br />ordinance is being violated, the Council can take no action <br />to stop this garage from being built, even though the <br />neighbors are protesting because it is their belief the <br />aesthetic value of the whole area is being impaired, <br />Surplus Funds to be Upon recommendation of Treasurer Olsen and fiscal agents, <br />invested: Juran and Moody, Nilsen moved that surplus funds now in <br />the Water Main Construction Account of 1963 be invested. <br />Motion seconded by Black. Carried. <br />Report of Bonded Treasurer Olsen and Robert Sander of Juran and Moody <br />Indebtedness: prepared the Report of Bonded Indebtedness at December <br />31, 1963 and same was referred to Attorney Galvin for <br />execution and filing with the Ramsey County Auditor. <br />Meeting Recesseds Meeting was recessed at 9s00 P.M. for pre-scheduled meeting <br />with representatives of Civil Defense Department - Mr. <br />Civil Defenses Fanning of the County and Mr. 6nglin of the State Departmment <br />of Civil Defense. Stanley Schultz, Director of the Village <br />Civil Defense ~dgram was also present. <br />Upon inquiry, the council was advised that the supplies to <br />stock the shelters would become the property of the Village <br />
