2067 <br />Ramsey County Civil Defense organization in connection <br />with the City of Saint Paul in furnishing the necessary <br />manpower to both transport and settle-in facilities <br />and the necessary containers, and the Civil Defense <br />Department of Ramsey County will to the best of its <br />Civil Defenses ability assist in transporting-and filling shelters <br />located in the business sections of the Village of <br />Falcon Heights. It is understood that the University <br />of Minnesota will pay for any expense over the X125.00 <br />that the Village of Falcon Heights has agreed to pay, <br />if the Welfare Department cannot furnish men to do the <br />work or if the expense is more than the above-stated <br />figure. <br />This motion was duly seconded by Black, and upon a vote <br />being taken thereon, the motion was carried. <br />Fire Department - Stone moved, Warkentien seconded that Fire Department <br />Requisition No. 1 Requisition No. 1 for supplies for the year 1964 be <br />196lt s approved. C arrie d. <br />Request to Drill Discussion regarding digging well in an area where city <br />Wells water is available was held inasmuch as request was made <br />for same from a resident on Holton Avenue. It was <br />suggested that the Deputy Clerk advise that a bona fide <br />well contractor be obtained because the resident would <br />have no reco arse to the Village should the well fail in <br />the-near future. Attorney Galvin will check with the <br />Health Department for their views. <br />Roberts Apartment Attorney Galvin advised he has had conversation with <br />Building - Conveyance Roberts in response to his letter of February 1l~, which <br />of Propertys was discussed at the meeting of February 12. The Village <br />should have been advised prior to conveyance of property <br />to the adjoining owner. This conveyance reduces the size <br />of present lot and does not now conform to Village zoning <br />standards. <br />Inasmuch as I1~r. Roberts just returned from a trip, and his <br />attorney, John Daubney,is unavailable, it was agreed that <br />Galvin and Daubney and Roberts would discuss this matter <br />in the interim between this meeting and the special meeting <br />of March ~th, which shall be set for 7s30 P.M. for the <br />purpose of settling this matter; also the matter of parking <br />on the lawn shall be discussed. <br />Bethel College - Mayor Nilsen advised he had call from Dr. Lundquist <br />Building of Apartmentss regarding the two lots on Pascal and Larpenteur on <br />which they are contemplating building. There is a <br />deed restriction and Bethel College representatives are <br />aware of this. <br />Treess Deputy Clerk was instructed to inquire of Dr. Hard as <br />Northome Areas to who has been doing the work, who has been supervising <br />the work, etc, inasmuch as Harlc~r Huber of Lakeland Trees <br />has been assigning the work. Also the Council would like <br />to know the reason for Dr. Hard's choice of the specific <br />t <br />1 <br />1 <br />
