2116 <br />REGULAR °; ~'L?TING OF SEPTEMBER 9, 1961 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members being <br />present: Irlayor Harold C. Nilsen; Clerk W. A. Mortenson; Trustees Willis <br />b'darkentien and William Black. Also present were Treasurer ~dilliam E. Olsen, <br />Engineer Brad Lemberg, Attorney I:~ichael Galvin, and Deputy Clerk Tina Vavoulis. <br />Absent: Charles Stone, Trustee. <br />1 <br />1 <br />Warkentien moved that the minutes of the meeting of August 12, 196l~ be <br />approved. Seconded by Ps~ortenson and carried. <br />Nilsen moved that the minutes of the meeting of August 26, 196. be approved. <br />Seconded by Black and carried. <br />Correspondence: <br />Distribution of Letter from Theodore I. Kruzel of 1373 Arona Street <br />Literature during regarding distribution of literature that is attached to <br />State Fair Week: the automobiles parked at curb sites during Fair leek was <br />read. Litter and junk is thrown in the yards, sidewalks <br />and boulevards, and in the streets. ~Ir. Kruzel addressed <br />letter to Governor Rolvaag, I»Iayor Vavoulis of Saint Paul, <br />John Libbey, General manager of the Fair Grounds, and <br />Robert Gerber, City, Clerk. He desires somas solution inas- <br />much as this situation is unpleasant. <br />Permanent Voter Letter was read from Clarence Kammerer of the Bureau of <br />Registration: Elections, Ramsey County recommending permanent voter <br />registration be instituted in all towns, villages and <br />cities of Ramsey County. Clerk Mortenson will attend a <br />meeting to be held on September 18, 196. <br />Licenses issued: <br />Cigarette, Cigars, <br />Cigarette Papers <br />and Cigarette <br />Wrappers: <br />Having met the requirements, it was moved by Black, seconded <br />by '~darkentien that the application for license to sell at <br />retail Cigarettes, Cigarette Papers, and Cigarette Wrappers <br />be granted to the following, to expire June 30, 1965: <br />j~otion was carried. <br />#208 - Mickey~s Diner, Inc. 1526 ~d.
