2199 <br />Suburban Life Letter dated December 30 from Suburban Life Newspapers <br />Newspapers was read. It was a bid for designation as official <br /> village newspaper for the year 1965. <br />Karl Keller: Copy of letter dated January ~.th to Roger Toussaint of <br /> the Saint Paul Chamber of Commerce from Karl Keller of <br /> the Keller Corporation was sent to this village. Keller <br /> called attention to a St. Paul brochure that claimed the <br /> Fairgrounds was in that city. <br />Conference for The First National Bank of ~~Tinneapolis advised that a <br />Public Officials: conference is planned for public officials for January <br /> 23, 1965. <br />League of Minnesota Stone moved, Black seconded and it was unanimously voted <br />Municipalities: that the Village Council of Falcon Heights does not <br /> approve amendment in proposed resolution Number 26 in the <br />Proposed Resolution League Legislative Program adopted June 19, 196i~. <br />on new sources of <br />Revenue for Municipal <br />Governments: <br /> Black moved that the proposed Resolution on Withdrawal <br />Proposed Resolution of State from Real Eroperty Tax Field be approved for <br />on Withdrawal of State adoption. The League of Minn. Municipalities would urge the <br />from Real Property Minn e s o t_a legislature to embark on a program of gradual <br />Tax Field: withdrawal of the state from the property tax field in the <br /> shortest possible time and to the greatest extend possible <br /> consistent with the needs of proper financing of state <br /> government. <br />League of Minnesota Nilsen moved that the purchase of two additional handbooks <br />Municipalities Hand- made available by the League of Minn. Motion seconded by Black and carried. <br />Reservations for Village Nilsen moved, seconded by Strandquist that the following <br />Halls be granted use of the Village Hall for the evenings <br />requested.
