2200 <br /> L°JHEREAS, the above bids are the total net prices after <br /> taking off the tax, and <br /> l~'V'HEREAS, it appears that Midway Ford Company is the <br /> lowest resp onsible bidder, .(bid was less X55 allowance on <br /> old truck) <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council <br /> of Falcon Heights, p~4innesota <br /> 1. The mayor and cleric are hereby authorized and <br /> directed to enter into contract with Midway Ford Company <br /> in the name of the Village of Falcon Heights for purchase <br /> of one new 1-Ton truck with 2-3 cu. yd. hydraulic dump box <br /> and related appurtenances, according to the plans and spec- <br /> ifications therefor approved by the Village Council and on <br /> file in the office of the Village Clerk. <br /> 2. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed <br /> to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with <br /> their bids, except that the deposits of the successful <br /> bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until <br /> a contract has been signed. <br /> The motion was duly seconded by Strandquist, and <br /> upon a vote being taken the following voted in favor: <br /> Nilsen, Strandquist, Warkenti®n, Stone and Black, and the <br /> following voted against: None, Whereupon the resolution <br /> was adopted by the Village Council this 13th day of January. <br />Fire .Department Larry Gearin Carpet and Floor Covering and Robinson-King <br />Dormitory Floor Floors, Inc, submitted bids on instal lation of floor the <br />Tile: in the dormitory, kitchen and bath areas. Warkentien moved <br /> that Larry Gearin be awarded the contract at a price of <br /> ~178.0o for commercial vinyl asbestos 3/32. Motion was <br /> seconded by Black and carried. <br />Falcon Heights Engineer Lemberg's letter of January 13 regarding parking <br />Congregational Church at the Falcon Heights Congregational Church was reviewed. <br />Parkings Clerk was requested to write letter to Church and request <br /> that they advise this office if there is any disagreement <br /> with recommendations as outlined. <br />Appointments for Year The appointment of Willis ~(arkenti.en as acting mayor in <br />1965 to 19661 the event the mayor is absent, was moved by Strandquist, <br />Acting Mayor seconded by Stone and carried. <br />Attorneys: Nilsen moved, seconded by ~larkentien that the firm of <br /> Briggs & Morgan be retained as Vi11a ge Attorneys provided <br /> that the representative of the firm attending the meetings <br /> and representing the village is M. J. Galvin, Jr. Motion <br /> carried. <br />Engineers: Warkentien moved, seconded by Black that the firm of <br /> Bonestroo, Rosene and Associates be retained as consulting <br /> engineers. Motion carried. <br />Building Inspector: Nilsen moved, seconded by Black that Richard Magnuson b® <br /> retained as building inspector. Carried. <br />Civil Defense Director: 1Warkentien moved, s®conded by Strandquist that Stanley <br /> Schultz be appointed Civil Defense Director. Carried, <br />Electrical Inspectors Strandquist moved, Warkentien seconded that Ted ~Yeisner <br /> be appointed Electrical inspector. Motion carried. <br />
