22Q8 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF FEBRUARY 10, 1965 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 with the following members being present: <br />Mayor Harold Nilsen; Clerk Herbert Strandquist; Trustees Willis Warkentien, <br />Charles Stone and William Black. Also present were Treasurer William Olsen, <br />Engineer Brad Lemberg and Deputy Clerk Tina Vavoulis. <br />Representatives of the League of Women Voters present were Mrs. Ralph Berdie, <br />Mrs. John Foreman, Mrs. Robert Lucas and Mrs. Arthur Erler who presented each <br />council member with the League's 1965 calendar. <br />Mrs. Holloway and members of Girl Scont group, who are working for government <br />badges, were also present. <br />Correspondences <br />Highway Engineer's Minnesota Highway Engineer's Annual Conference will be held <br />Conferences February 22, 23, and 2l~, 1965 at the Leamington Hotel in <br />Minneapolis. <br />Subdivision: <br />Property Located at Dr. Lloyd Smith presented plans to subdivide property at <br />1795 North Fry Streets 1795 North Fry Street. He is interested in purchasing the <br />property if it can be sub-divided. Engineer Lemberg has <br />checked plans and stated this could be done. Dr. Smith <br />will submit drawings fc:~council review and take necessary <br />steps for subdividing. <br />Falcon Heights Church Mr. Tim Elder, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the <br />Parking Lot Drainage: Falcon Heights Congregational Church was present. He advised <br />the Council that the drainage problem has been given careful <br />consideration by the Board and he will apprise the council <br />of any future action. Engineer Lemberg was of the opinion <br />that, basically, the requirements of the original agreement <br />had been adhered to, and maintenance of the area is a <br />necessity. He stated that agreement included that other <br />types of drains be installed if the present dry wells do <br />not properly drain the water. Mr. Elder will. have further <br />information after February 15. <br />Larpentenr-Snelling Mr. and Mrs. Marko, 130 North Snelling Drive, were pros®nt <br />Grade Separation - pursuant to inaccurately written news item in the Suburban <br />Inaccztrate report in Nears. Item stated that proposed plan for the Larpenteur- <br />Suburban Newspapers Snelling Grade Separation would be discussed this evening. <br />They were advised that before final approval of any plan, <br />they would receive notice of public hearing. <br /> R. J. Brown - Proposed Mr. R. J. Brown reviewed with the Council plans to erect a <br /> Apartment Building multiple dwelling on the lot ad~aeent to Weber's R estaurant <br /> between Crawford Avenue presently owned by the Falcon Heights State Bank. He was <br /> and Alley on Snelling advised that variance application is required for said <br /> Avenues plans; also that permit must be obtained from the council <br /> for conditional usage of the property for multiple dwelling. <br />
