2z15 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF FEBRUARY 2~., 1965 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7100 P.M. with the following. <br />members present: Mapor Harold Nilsen; Clerk Herbert Strandquist; Trustees <br />Willis Warkentien, Charles P. Stone and William Black. Also present were <br />Engineer Lemberg, Attorney Galvin and Deputy Clerk Tina Vavoulis. <br />Stone moved, seconded by Black that the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />February 10, 1965 be approved. Motion carried. <br />Stone moved, seconded by Black that the minutes of the special meeting of <br />February 17 be approved. Motion carried. <br />Correspondences <br />A.T. Thorson Letter of congratulations from the A. T. Thorsons at <br />Finest street 1879 Simpson Strest on the finest street maintenance in <br />maintenances the Turin City area was read. Clerk was instructed to <br /> write a 'thank you' letter in reply. <br />Publication of Carl Pearson, Certified Public Accountant, has requested <br />Financial Statement: that publication of the financial statement for the year <br /> 196l~ be deferred until completion of the audit. He <br /> expects to have audit completed by March 10. Request <br /> was granted. <br />Purchase of secretarial Strandquist moved for authorization to purchase one <br />desk and two chairs used secretarial desk at a cost of $110 and two new <br />for offices chairs at a cost of $30 each, for use in the clerk's <br /> office. Motion was seconded by Stone and carried. <br />Escrow Account 2156 <br />American National Banks Letter of February 19 from the American National Bank <br /> and enclosure of most recent statement in connection <br /> with the Escrow Account was read. <br />Trucks parked on south- Mrs. Waite Durfee, 1497 West California, has complained <br />west corner of Larp- regarding big tracks parking on the southwest corner of <br />entieur and Aronas Larpenteur and Arona making it almost impossible to see <br />oncoming traffic. Police Department will be instructed <br />to tag offenders of the law who park less than 30 feet <br />from the corner. <br />Fire Department Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien that authorization <br />Purchase of be given to purchase a new buuning barrel. Motion <br />burning barrels carried. <br />Flag Poles Letter from Crowley Fence Company advising they can <br />furnish and install one 35 foot above ground, take-d.own <br />flagpole complete for X265, or if desired a !~0 foot <br />take-down model for X325 was read. A nylon flag may be <br />purchased for an additional $18. It was deemed advisable <br />to obtain other company prices. <br />Technical Committee Letter of February 9, 1965 from Robert B. Gerber, Jr., <br />Sewer Rate Studya City Clerk of the City of Saint Paul stated that July 1, <br />1965 be designated as a date on which any revised rate <br />system that might be agreed upon should be effective or <br />retroactive to, 9.n connection with the establishment of <br />a revised rate bas3.s for sewage service. <br />1 <br />1 <br />
