<br />~~ <br /> <br />2216 <br />Parks, Playgrounds Nilsen moved that the Village of Falcon Heights Council <br />and Recreations follow up the recommendations of the Citizens Recreational <br />Advisory Committee. Further that Trustee Black be <br />designated as council representative to continue <br />negotiations with the University of Minnesota for <br />leasing of the land, on a basis similar to that for <br />the ~6est Falcon Heights Playground. This land is to <br />be used for skating rink and also for general recreation <br />area. Black seconded the motion and upon a vote, the <br />motion was carried, <br />Storm Sewers and There was general discussion about storm sewers and <br />Municipal State Aid about the unused amount of $70,000 in the Municipal <br />Streets: State Aid Fund, <br />Subdivision of Land Lindig Midway Greenhouses, Inc. has made application for <br />Application by subdivision of 1~nd known as Lot 5, Block 2, Lindig~s <br />Lindig Midway Addition. Attorney stated application is not in order <br />Greenhouses, Ines inasmuch as it does not contain anything in the nature <br />of a survey, Attorney will contact Lindig regarding <br />compliance with Ordinance No, 69. <br />Death of Carl H. Warkentien introduced the following resolution and moved <br />Keller, Sr.s it adoptions <br />RECOGNIZING Carl H. Keller as one of the founders <br />of the Village of Falcon Heights, and <br />RECOGNIZING that Carl H. Keller was among those <br />responsible for the naming of this Village of Falcon <br />Heights, and <br />RECOGNIZING that Carl H. Keller has contributed <br />greatly to the growth and welfare of this community, <br />THE UNDERSIGNED MEMBERS of the Village of Falcon <br />Heights Council wish to express sympathy and coiiidolences <br />to the members of the family of Carl H. Keller, Sr. <br />Upon a second to the motion by Nilsen, and a vote being <br />taken, the resolution was adopted. <br />Falcon Heights <br />Congregational The Council felt that if an emergency should develop <br />Church and the ponding area adjacent to the Falcon Heights <br />Ponding Areas Church parking area is deemed dangerous to the health <br />and welfare of citizens, and the Church does not take <br />measures to alleviate danger, then the maintenance <br />department of the village shall put up a snow fence <br />surrounding the danger area, Before doing so, however, <br />the maintenance department shall obtain permission from <br />the church. <br />Authorization to Nilsen moved that Warkentien be authorized to sign <br />sign checks in the checks against the funds of the Village of Falcon Heights <br />absence of Village during the absence of the Village Clerk, from March 8, <br />Clerks to March 31, 1965.
