2236 <br />granted by property rnmers, this matter is referred to <br />the Village attorney as to legal procedure to obtain <br />easement. <br />ii <br />1 <br />Sewer rental Tt was opinion of council members that no refund is due <br />charge: residents at 182lt Holton for incorrect charges for sewer <br />rental dating back to 1961. Village records erroneously <br />indicate a l~' meter was installed, but recent inspection <br />revealed a 5/8" pump was still in use. <br />New Truck - mud Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien that ~u:~horization be <br />flaps: granted for purchase of two mud flaps for the truck. Carried. <br />Northeast Area Storm Letter dated April 28 from Engineer Lemberg stated storm <br />Sewers sewer plan as drawn in 1958 appears adequate and with minor <br />revisions could be used to serve the northeast area. Said <br />area encompasses that part bounded by ftoselawn Avenue, <br />Hamline Avenue, Larpenteur and Snelling Avenues. <br />Sweeping of Streets: Stone moved, Stx~andquist sec®nded that Village Engineer be <br /> authorized to negotiate for the best possible price and <br /> job of sweeping the streets. Arthur Jorgenson, owner of <br /> vacant lot adjacent to 1711 North Albert will be contacted <br /> about dumping sand from streets on that lot. <br />1965 Seal Coating of Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien, that the engineer be <br />Streets and Alleys: instructed to prepare preliminary plans and specifications <br /> for street and alley maintenance by seal coating same, and <br /> present such plans to the council for approval. Carried. <br />Flood Disaster Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien and duly carried that <br />Relief - 1965: the Village Clerk's Office notify the Ramsay County Flood <br /> Disaster Relief Agency that the Village of Falcon Heights, <br /> after due consideration, will not make application for <br /> participation in the 1965 Federal Disaster Belief Fund as <br /> provided by the Federal Office of Emergency Planning. The <br /> reason for this action is that the Village suffered no <br /> losses from an actual flood, but was a local pumping oper- <br /> ation of spring water z~un-off, and not a real flood in that <br /> sense. It was felt that this cannot truly be noted as <br /> damage from flood waters. Motion was carried. <br />Variance application Black introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />Cleon Garley adoption: <br />1707 Lindig Street: <br /> WHEREAS, Cleon Garley has submitted request for ~2triance <br /> in connection with the multiple family property being built <br /> at 1707 Lindig Street, and <br />'WHEREAS, said C1eon Garley i[as previously_given author- <br />ity to construct six garage stalls, and <br />WHEREAS, he now requests authority to construct eleven <br />garage stalls iri lieu of the six garage stalls, and <br />WHEREAS, in order to accomplish the construction of the <br />aforementioned eleven garage stalls, he requested permission <br />to provide two parking spaces east of the east building line, <br />thereby violating the set back requirements of Ordnance 6l~, <br />leaving a set back of only 15 feet on the east side of the <br />property, and <br />
