Carried. <br />Northeast Area Storm Letter dated April 28 from Engineer Lemberg stated storm <br />Sewers sewer plan as drawn in 1958 appears adequate and with minor <br />revisions could be used to serve the northeast area. Said <br />area encompasses that part bounded by ftoselawn Avenue, <br />Hamline Avenue, Larpenteur and Snelling Avenues. <br />Sweeping of Streets: Stone moved, Stx~andquist sec®nded that Village Engineer be <br /> authorized to negotiate for the best possible price and <br /> job of sweeping the streets. Arthur Jorgenson, owner of <br /> vacant lot adjacent to 1711 North Albert will be contacted <br /> about dumping sand from streets on that lot. <br />1965 Seal Coating of Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien, that the engineer be <br />Streets and Alleys: instructed to prepare preliminary plans and specifications <br /> for street and alley maintenance by seal coating same, and <br /> present such plans to the council for approval. Carried. <br />Flood Disaster Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien and duly carried that <br />Relief - 1965: the Village Clerk's Office notify the Ramsay County Flood <br /> Disaster Relief Agency that the Village of Falcon Heights, <br /> after due consideration, will not make application for <br /> participation in the 1965 Federal Disaster Belief Fund as <br /> provided by the Federal Office of Emergency Planning. The <br /> reason for this action is that the Village suffered no <br /> losses from an actual flood, but was a local pumping oper- <br /> ation of spring water z~un-off, and not a real flood in that <br /> sense. It was felt that this cannot truly be noted as <br /> damage from flood waters.
