22l~0 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF MAY 12, 1965 <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. with the following memb®rs presents <br />Nilsen, Strandquist, Warkentien, Black and Stone. Also present were Attorney <br />Galvin, Engineer Lemberg, Treasurer Olsen and Deputy Clerk T. Vavoulis. <br />It was moved by Black, seconded by Nilsen that the minutes of the meeting of <br />April 28, 1965 be approved. Carried. <br />Moved by Strandquist, seconded by Black that the minutes of the special meeting <br />of May 5, 1965 be approved. Carried. <br />Correspondences Letter of May 8, 1965 from Justice of the Peace Coppini <br />Paul L. Coppini regarding full-time police force was read. <br />Arthur Jurgensona Letter of May 5, 1965 stated that Mr. Jorgenson has no <br />ob3ection to sand being deposited on lots owned by him <br />south of 1711 North Albert. <br /> B & E Patrols Letter of April 30, 1965 from D. J. Bona in answer to the <br /> Village letter regarding unlicensed dogs was read. <br /> Mr. & Mrs. Philip Letter from Mr. and Mrs. Philip Stocker, l.la.63 West Iowa, <br /> Stockers commending the Council on its action with regard to <br /> applying for disaster relief from the Federal Government <br /> was read. Minutes of April 28 state this Village will. <br /> not make application for funds. <br /> Sheriff Kermit Invitation from Sheriff Kermit Hedman to attend school <br /> Hedmans~ police patrol picnic was read. <br /> Rev. Wayne Letter from Mr. VanKirk stated that the action taken by <br /> VanKirks V3,11age authorities to avert any water damage from the <br /> spring water run-off was appreciated. <br />Senate File 12l~5 Letter of May 7th sent out from Federick P. Memmer's law <br />and House File office regarding a bill introduced in the legislature, waa <br />1687 -Sale of reviewed. Warkentien introduced the following resolution <br />Municipal and moved its adoptions <br />Obligationss <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council of Falcon <br />is opposed to the passage of Senate File 12l~5 and House File <br />1687 relating to sale of municipal obligations, Village <br />Clerk is hereby instructed to transmit copy of .this <br />resolution to Representative Robert Ashbach and Senator <br />Claude Allen. <br />Black seconded the motion and upon a vote being taken, <br />the motion was carried. <br />Garnet Gallimore - Pursuant to request of the Council, Garnet Gallimore of <br />Standard Oil the Standard Oil Filling Station was present. He was <br />Station: informed that unless a suitable method of burning is <br />instituted, his license may not be renewed. The District <br />Manager of Standard Oil Company will be contacted by the <br />Village Clerk regarding same. <br />
