221 <br />REGULAR MEETIlVG OF MAY 26, 1965 <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members present: <br />Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Trustees Stone, Warkentien and Black. Also <br />present were Attorney Galvin, Treasurer Olsen, Engineer Lemberg. <br />Black moved, seconded by Strandquist that the minutes of the regular meeting of <br />May 12, 1965 be approved. Carried. <br />Correspondence <br />Consulting engineers: Announcement was made of change of firm name effective <br />June 1, 1965 to Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and <br />Associates, Inc. <br />Ramsey County League Membership in the Ramsey County League of Municipalities <br />of Municipalities and Laws of 1965, Chapter 577 regarding the subject of <br />minimum membership fee of X50.00 was referred to attorney. <br />No. States Power Co. Three street lights have been installed on north side <br />of Larpenteur between Arona and Snelling. <br />Standard Oil Company: I~nediate action is being taken in regard to suggestions <br />in Clerk's letter of May 13. <br />Roberts Apartment Galvin's letter to Roberts Construction Company regarding <br />Buildings decorative planting for screening purposes between <br /> parking lot and adjoining properties was read. <br />Nations,].. League of Invitation to officials from Henry Maier, President of <br />Cities National League of Cities to attend Congress of Cities <br /> in Detroit, Michigan July 21~ - 28, 1965 was read. <br />League of Minnesota The 51st Annual Convention of the League of Minnesota <br />Municipalities Municipalities will be held at Moorhead, Minnesota, <br /> June 16 through 18, 1965. <br />Ditch at 18l~8 Pascals George Guertin of 18t~8 Pascal was present to state that <br /> it is now impossible to mow the grass in the ditch on his <br /> property because it is too steep. Action was deferred <br /> until examination of same. <br />Tatum Street Drainages It appears that a voluntary easement of property for the <br /> natural drainage of water on the Beck and Kemmer property <br /> is not going to be granted. <br />Mrs. Donald Nelson Mrs. Donald Nelson - 1627 Hollywood Court inquired as to <br />request regarding the possibility of obtaining variance permit from dog <br />dogs ordinance and -the granting of permission to keep four dogs <br /> instead of three as a11v~+red. Inasmuch as there is no <br /> basis for a permit variance, Clerk was instructed to <br /> advise by letter that no such use can be permitted in axi <br /> R-1 district. <br />Insurance Coverage - Pursuant to review of Attorney Calvin's letter of May 25th, <br />Municipal Employees Stone moved that the insurance needs of the Village be <br /> surveyed by a competent insurance agency and recommendations <br /> on this matter be solicited. Nilsen seconded and motion <br /> was carried. <br />
