221 REGULAR MEETIlVG OF MAY 26, 1965 Meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members present: Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Trustees Stone, Warkentien and Black. Also present were Attorney Galvin, Treasurer Olsen, Engineer Lemberg. Black moved, seconded by Strandquist that the minutes of the regular meeting of May 12, 1965 be approved. Carried. Correspondence Consulting engineers: Announcement was made of change of firm name effective June 1, 1965 to Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc. Ramsey County League Membership in the Ramsey County League of Municipalities of Municipalities and Laws of 1965, Chapter 577 regarding the subject of minimum membership fee of X50.00 was referred to attorney. No. States Power Co. Three street lights have been installed on north side of Larpenteur between Arona and Snelling. Standard Oil Company: I~nediate action is being taken in regard to suggestions in Clerk's letter of May 13. Roberts Apartment Galvin's letter to Roberts Construction Company regarding Buildings decorative planting for screening purposes between parking lot and adjoining properties was read. Nations,].. League of Invitation to officials from Henry Maier, President of Cities National League of Cities to attend Congress of Cities in Detroit, Michigan July 21~ - 28, 1965 was read. League of Minnesota The 51st Annual Convention of the League of Minnesota Municipalities Municipalities will be held at Moorhead, Minnesota, June 16 through 18, 1965. Ditch at 18l~8 Pascals George Guertin of 18t~8 Pascal was present to state that it is now impossible to mow the grass in the ditch on his property because it is too steep. Action was deferred until examination of same. Tatum Street Drainages It appears that a voluntary easement of property for the natural drainage of water on the Beck and Kemmer property is not going to be granted. Mrs. Donald Nelson Mrs. Donald Nelson - 1627 Hollywood Court inquired as to request regarding the possibility of obtaining variance permit from dog dogs ordinance and -the granting of permission to keep four dogs instead of three as a11v~+red. Inasmuch as there is no basis for a permit variance, Clerk was instructed to advise by letter that no such use can be permitted in axi R-1 district. Insurance Coverage - Pursuant to review of Attorney Calvin's letter of May 25th, Municipal Employees Stone moved that the insurance needs of the Village be surveyed by a competent insurance agency and recommendations on this matter be solicited. Nilsen seconded and motion was carried.
