2257 <br />Fire Department - <br />Fire Chief Helbig Pursuant to request at special meeting of June 16, Fire <br />and Herbert Chief Al Helbig and new employee Herbert Nelson were <br />Nelson: present. <br />Request to Purchase Stone moved, Warkentien seconded that the Fire Department <br />Foam Adapters be authorized to purchase a foam adapter for the fire <br />truck hone nozzle, at a cost not to exceed $85.00 with <br />the understanding that the $30.00 (which the Fire Ghief <br />turned over to the Village Council as payment for one of <br />the fire trucks standing by at the Fair Grounds June 12 <br />and 13 for the Paul Bunyan Races and credited to the <br />general fund of the village) be used as part payment for <br />the adapter. Motion carried. <br />William Carroll William Carroll, weed inspector, was present to report that <br />Weed Inspector: notices had been sent regarding first cutting of noxious <br />weeds. <br />Opening of Bids <br />At 8s00 P.M. Mayor Nilsen called for bids. Clerk Strandquist <br />Street. and Alley and advised that proper legal notices had been published in the <br />Parking Lot Improve- legal nc-~rspaper and the Construction Bulletin. Bids on the <br />ment of 1965s Street and Alley and Parking Lot Improvement of 1965 wer® <br />opened and read as follows <br />1. Armor Coat Company, Inc.
