2287 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 8, 1965 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members <br />present: Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Trustees Warkentien, Stone and Black. <br />Also present were Engineer Lemberg, Attorney Galvin and Treasurer Olsen. <br />Minutes Black moved, Stone seconded that the minutes of the <br />special meeting of August 18, 1965 be approved. Ayess <br />A11. Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Stone moved, seconded by Strandquist that the minutes <br />of the meeting of August 25, 1965 be approved. Ayes: All. <br />Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Correspondences <br />Regulation of Letter dated September 1st from Attorney Galvin stated <br />Motorcycles and that existing statutes cover most of the problems brought <br />Scooters about by motorcycles and motorscooters in this Village. <br />Letter written to W. Warkentien by attorney dated August <br />26, 1965 regarding same was reviewed. <br />Sewer Rates: Copy of letter to Thomas Newsome written by Otto G. <br />Bonestroo regarding sewer rates was read. <br />Special Meeting A special meeting has been called for October 6, 1965 <br />Calleds ~ at 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of discussing the 1966 <br /> budget. <br />State Fair Days Letter of September 6 from Paul. Coppini requested no <br />Parkings parking arrangements be made for the Northome Area <br /> during the ten days of the State Fair, particularly <br /> in the alleys. <br />Pending Street Letter of September lst from E. V. Bergstrom, Supervisor <br />Lighting Rate Municipal Services of Northern States Power Company <br />Increase - NSPs regarding pending street lighting rate increase was read. <br />Citizens Sanitary Sewer Attorney Galvin stated he had received communication <br />Disposal Plants or from a consnittee of citizens formed to prepare and endorse <br />Districts some form of legislation with regard to sanitary sewer <br />disposal plants and districts. <br />Falcon Woads Playground: Frank Rog, Roseville Recreation Director has requested <br />use of the Falcon Woods Playground twice a week during <br />the football season. Arrangements with Falcon Woods <br />Playground Association shall be made for turning lights <br />on and off for these practices. <br />Jorgenson Apartments Black moved, seconded by Strandquist that the variance <br />Variance Application to application, which was submitted by Arthur Jorgenson, along <br />build three additional with the fee of X5.00 to build additional. three garages <br />garages - 1707 Tatum: on property located at 1707 Tatum be referred to the <br />Planning Commission for its consideration &nd recommend- <br />ation.
