2290 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 22, 1965 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members <br />presents Acting Mayor Willis Warkentien, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Black- <br />and Stone. Absents Mayor Nilsen. Also present were Engineer Lemberg, <br />.Attorney Galvin and Treasurer Olsen. <br />Correspondence: County Auditor's letter of September 13 advised that <br />County Commissioners had authorized apportionment of <br />Road & Bridge X1,773.73 in the County's 1965 Road and Bridge fund to <br />Fund: this Village. <br />Mrs. Lester Gills Letter of September 21 from Mrs. Lester Gill, 1765 St. <br />Mary's Street was complaint about the unsatisfactory <br />manner in which sod was laid after the WaterMain <br />Project of 1963. <br />Parking in Alleys: Attorney Calvin's letter of September 13 defined <br />applicable statutes regulating parking in this Village. <br />Hamline Avenue Letter of September 10 from Donald Fazendin, 1928 <br />Traffic: Hamline Avenue was regarding accidents on Hamline Avenue. <br />He expects and would like to receive traffic law enforc®- <br />ment, ambulance service for the in3ured, competent <br />emergency medical treatment by officers and adequate <br />traffic controls and a wider street. <br />Regional League of Invitation was extended to Village Officials to attend <br />Minnesota Munici- meeting to be held on Thursday, October 7 at Bayport, <br />palities Meetings Minnesota, this being the Regional League of Minnesota <br />Municipalities Meeting. <br />Rep. Robert 0. Letter from Robert 0. Ashbach, Representative l~3rd North <br />Ashbach: District was regarding Sanitary Sewer Disposal Plants or <br />Districts in answer to Attorney Calvin's letter. <br />City Comptroller Letter of September 13 from Office of City Comptroller <br />Sewer~Rates: stated that sub-committee of Technical CoYrnnittee has <br />been working on the matter of sewer rates. <br />License: Having met the requirements, it was moved by Black, <br />Master Plumbers seconded by Strandquist and duly carried to issue the <br />following Master Plumber's Licenses <br />#127 - Kenneth Berghorst - Berghorst Plumbing & <br />Heating Co., 1L~08 Coon Rapids Blvd., Coon <br />Rapids, Minnesota. <br />Street and Alley Stone introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />Maintenance Pro3ect adoption: <br />1965: <br />11PHEREAS, Engineer Lemberg has approved and recommends <br />for payment the Street and Alley Maintenance Project of <br />1965, and <br />WHEREAS, an amount of X500 shall be retained until <br />excess sand in alleys is removed, <br />
