1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />2308 <br />Fire Department Letter of October 26, 1965 from Briggs and Morgan was <br />Relief Association: read regarding Minnesota statute that required certain <br />public pension and retirement funds for firemen to have <br />an actuarial survey made showing condition of the fund <br />as of December 31,.196.. Communication stated that <br />inasmuch as the Falcon Heights Fire Department has only <br />three paid firemen, the provisions of this statute are <br />not applicable. <br />Purchase Requi- <br />sitions -Fire <br />Departments <br />Fog nozzle <br />Form liquid <br />Stone moved that Fire Department be authorized to purchase <br />one fog nozzle at a cost of ~l~9.50 and two 5 gallon cans <br />of foam liquid at $30.00 each, the total bill for the <br />above items not to exceed ~i09.50. Warkentien seconded; <br />Ayess A11. Nayst None. Motion carried. <br /> Stone moved that Fire Department be authorized to <br /> purchase two dozen insulated rubber gloves for use of <br />Insulated both the paid and volunteer fire department personnel <br />rubber gloves at a cost of?:,~20.85 a dozen, and total cost not to <br /> exceed ~1.t7..70. Strandquist seconded. Ayes: A11. Nays: <br /> None. Motion carried, It is understood that personnel <br /> is to print names on each glove and same is to be placed <br /> with each man's fire coat in the fire department. <br />Bulbs replacement Stone moved that Kenneth Quarn be authorized to purchase <br />at playground areas: six bulbs to replace broken bulbs at the playground <br /> areas. Motion seconded by Black and carried. Fire <br /> Ghief Al Helbig was instructed to see that the bulbs <br /> are replaced by the fire department on a drill night. <br />Maintenance Dept,: Kenneth Quarn was present and made report to the council <br /> of activities of his department. There was discussion <br /> about maintenance department, <br />Art Lindig Proposal Art Lindig and Mr. Hamm, builder, presented plans for a <br />to build double double house proposed on the lot just north of Lindig~s <br />houses floral business on Lindig street.
