2309 <br />WH~[•tEAS, said petitions were executed by <br />fifty per cent or more of the property owners <br />abutting the land affected, and <br />WHEREAS, said petitions were referred to the <br />Planning Commission of the Village of Falcon Heights <br />for public hearings and the recommendations of said <br />commission, and <br />WHEREAS, mailed notices and published notices of <br />the Public Hearings on said petitions were given as <br />required by ordinance, and <br />WHEREAS, at said public hearings held by the <br />Planning Commission of the Village of Falcon Heights on <br />July 15 and September 20 and October 20, 1965 all pro- <br />ponents or opponents of the proposed rezoning were <br />given an opportunity to be heard orally or in writing <br />at said meetings, and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission after study of <br />the petitions adopted a resolution granting the request <br />and made a final written report of their recommendations <br />to the Village council under date of October 2l~, 1965, and <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council held public hearing on <br />said petition on October 27, 1965 pursuant to the <br />applicable ordinances, and <br />WHEREAS, mailed notice of said hearing was given on <br />September 27, 1965 to all affected property owners and <br />published notice was given on September 29, 1965 in the <br />Village legal newspaper, and <br />WHEREAS, the Village Clerk has requested and has <br />received notice from the County Assessor stating that <br />property involved will not be increased in valuation <br />for tax purposes pursuant to change in rezoning of said <br />property from R 1. to B-lA and said notice is on file in <br />the office of the Village Clerk, and ~~eKbal <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Falcon <br />Heights has considered in addition to the oral and written <br />statements presented at said hearing the health, safety, <br />and welfare of the community existing and anticipated, <br />traffic conditions, lig;~t and air, danger of fire, risks <br />of public safety, the effect on the values of the property <br />in the surrounding area, the effect of the proposed <br />rezoning in parking facilities on adjacent streets, and <br />the general welfare of the community, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />THE VILLAGE of Falcon Heights, the petition and application <br />for rezoning of the above described property be and is <br />hereby approved. <br />Motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was <br />duly seconded by Stone and upon a vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereofs Warkenti.en, <br />Strandquist, Stone and Black and the following voted against <br />the samea None. Whereupon said resolution was duly declared <br />passed and adopted this 27th day of October, 1965. <br />
