2310 <br />1 <br />Trees: Stone introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoptions <br />WHEREAS, the Village tree consultant, Dr. C. G. Hard, <br />has prepared plans and specifications for trimming <br />pruning, cabling and removal of certain trees in the <br />Village of Falcon Heights, and <br />WHEREAS, such plans and specifications are in <br />accordance with the suggested four year plan for trimming <br />and pruning of all village trees, and <br />WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been <br />presented to the council for approval, <br />NOVi(, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />THE VILLAGE OF FALCON HEIGHTSs <br />1. Such plans and specifications, copy of which <br />are on file in the office of the Village Clerk and made <br />a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br />1 <br />2. The Village Clerk shall prepare and cause to <br />be inserted in the official paper an advertisement for <br />bids under such approved plans and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall specify the work to be done, shall <br />state that bids will be opened and considered by the <br />council at 8s00 P.M. on November 21~, 196 in the council <br />chambers of the Village Hall and that no bids shall be <br />considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk and <br />accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid <br />bond or certified check payable to the clerk for five <br />per cent of the amount of such bid. <br />The motion was duly seconded by Strandquist and upon a <br />vote being taken, the following voted for sames Warkentiei <br />Strandquist, Black and Stone and the following voted <br />against sames None. Whereupon motion was declared <br />passed by the Village Council this 27th day of October, <br />1965. <br />1 <br />Volunteer Fire Stone moved, Warkentien seconded that the application <br />Fighter Employ- for employment as volunteer firefighter submitted by <br />merits Robert Berg 1767 2~alvern Street be granted upon <br />condition that applicant is found to be in good health <br />after a physical examination and also subject to the <br />six-month probation period. Ayess All. Nayss None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Inventorys Glerk Strandquist stated that inventory has been <br />completed and this catalogue or schedule of Village <br />property includes estimated worth or actual cost. <br />Bilk s Strandquist moved, seconded by Warkentien that the <br />following bills be paids <br />Salaries last 1/2 October incl. Councilmen 1,989.92 <br />B & E Patrol - animal control September 39.00 <br />City of Saint Paul -sewer rental 7,l~39.23 <br />
