2338 <br />REGULAR hdEETING OF FEBRUARY 9, 1966 <br /> The regular meeting was called to order at 7s00 P.M. with the following members <br /> present: Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Trustees Warkentien and Black. Absent <br /> Trustee Stone. Also present were Attorney Galvin, Engineer Lemberg and <br /> Treasurer Olsen. <br /> Minutes: Warkentien moved, seconded by Black that the minutes <br /> of the meeting of January 26, 1966 be approved. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Correspondence <br /> State Fire Letter of January 28, 1966 from Fire Marshal Department, <br /> School: State of Minnesota advised of State Fire School April <br /> 25 to April 28, 1966. <br /> Land and Water State of Minnesota Guidelines to Governmental Sub- <br /> Conservation divisions for Receiving Land and Water Conservation <br /> Funds: Funds was received from the Department of Conservation. <br /> Same was dated January 6, 1966. <br /> Attorney's Report <br /> Traffic Attorney Galvin advised council that meeting had been <br /> Violations held with Village Clerk, Deputy Clerk, Justices of the <br /> Bureaus Peace and Police Officers regarding the Traffic Violations <br /> Bureau, which is scheduled to start operations on March 1, <br /> 1966. <br /> Municipal Courts Attorney Calvin's letter of February 1st enclosed <br /> Cost of auditor's report and annual budget summary of cost of <br /> Operation: operation of various municipal courts located in Ramsey <br /> County. <br />Licensing of In the event Tri-town Cab Company makes application for <br />Cabs: license to operate in this Villa ge, Clerks office was <br />instructed to inform Tri-town Cab Company that certificate <br />of insurance must be filed with the Clerk prior to being <br />granted permission by the Village Council. to operate and <br />solicit business in this village, <br />C. M. Troge Mr. and Mrs. Troge were present regarding water problem <br />1765 Lindig Street on Lindig Street. They were informed that nothing further <br />Water Problems can be done to alleviate that water problem until Ramsey <br />County plans for an interceptor from the Mississippi River <br />to the Fair Grounds are a reality. <br />Water Run Off: Warkentien moved, seconded by Strandquist that Kenneth <br />Quarn be authorized to proceed with pumping water out of <br />drainage areas on Idaho and Snelling and also Garden and <br />Pascal, Further that Quarn be authorized to secure the <br />necessary snow fence and necessary manpower to assist in <br />installing same around the area at Garden and Paseal for <br />protection purposes. Ayes: A11. Nays: None. Motion <br />waa carried. <br />
