2339 <br />Art Lindig Art Lindig reviewed his plans for a two-unit apartment <br />Plans for Two-Unit building and was instructed to comply with Subdivision <br />Apartment Building: Ordinance No. 69. He received manual for same and also <br />application for variance. <br />Civil Defense Mayor Nilsen appointed Paul Loomis, 1687 No. Fry Street <br />Director Appointed: as Civil Defense Director. Appointment shall be <br />effective March 1, 1966 and shall include a salary of <br />X25.00 per month. <br />Deputy Civil Defense After discussion, Nilsen moved, Black seconded that <br />Director: Donald Pantzar, 2613 North Fry Street be appointed <br />Deputy Civil Defense Director effective March 1, 1966 <br />with salary of X25.00 per month. Ayes: A11. Nays: <br />None. Motion was carried. <br />Justice of the Peace Justice of the Peace Paul Coppini's letter of February <br />Paul Coppini: ~, 1966 expressed opinion on how to improve assistance <br />to the motoring public and to people caught by the <br />snow ordinance. <br />Engineer's Report <br />Water on Hamline Engineer Lemberg has received reply from Roseville <br />Avenues dated January 28, 1966 as to cost for complete hook <br />up and service COSt5 for supplying water to residents <br />on Hamline Avenue north of Garden Avenue. <br />Larpenteur-Snelling Letter from State Highway Department to County <br />Changes in Signals Engineer Deane Anklan read by Lemberg was in regard <br />and Lanes: to signs and signals at the Larpenteur-Snelling <br />intersection. The Council reviewed the County's <br />rough sketch of plans and Engineer Lemberg was <br />requested to advise the Highway Department that <br />council is in general agreement with this plan. <br />An informal informative meeting with the Falcon <br />Heights businessmen and possibly the County Engineers <br />was discussed. <br />Northeast Storm Sewer Engineer presented partial plans and specifications <br />Improvement 65-1 for the N. E. Storm Sewer Improvement 65-1 for review <br />by the Council. <br />Engineers to make Strandquist moved, seconded by Black that Consulting <br />Study of Location of Engineers, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates <br />Sewers, sewer rates, be authorized to make a study and submit to the council an <br />sewer ordinances: over-all comprehensive plan of sewer rates in this village. <br />The study shall contain the various ordinances that are <br />in effect with respect to the City of Saint Paul and <br />sewer connections in the business areas and any others. <br />The study shall be made a part of the records of the <br />Village of Falcon Heights and is intended for perpetual <br />use of Village officials. <br />Upon a vote being taken, the following voted for the <br />above motion: Nilsen, Strandquist, V~arkentien and <br />Black and the following voted against same: None. <br />Whereupon said motion was carried. <br /> <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br />
