B. <br />Kammerer, Supervisor of Elections, attached copy of <br />number of laws relating to elections that were added or <br />changed during 19b5 Session of Minnesota Legislature.. <br />Course in Solid Letter dated April 13, from Institute of Technology, <br />Waste Disposals Department of Civil Engineering advised of course in <br />solid waste disposal at the University of Minnesota for <br />graduate students majoring in Sanitary Engineering. <br />Maritime Days Letter dated April 18 from the U.S. Department of Commerce <br />was regarding Maritime day May 22, 19bb. <br />Spic 'N Spans Letter dated April ll~, 196b from the St. Paul Area Cham#~er <br />of Commerce was regarding Spic 'N Span plan and positive <br />program of clean up and beautification set for the month <br />of May. <br />Har Mar Express Bus- Letter dated April. 27 from John H. Benidt, 1707 North Fry <br />Suggested Bus Stc3ps Street suggested that steps be taken to have the Har Mar <br /> Express Bus make a stop at Larpenteur and Snelling. <br /> Mayor Nilsen will talk to some of the Falcon Heights <br /> businessmen regarding same. <br />Larpenteur-Snelling A meeting was held in the Village Hall on April 22, 19bb <br />Signal Changers regarding the proposed Larpenteur-Snelling Signal, changes. <br /> The following persons were in attendances Mayor Nilsen, <br /> Clerk Strandquist, Engineer Lemberg, Bill Cheno~reth and <br /> Deane Anklan from the Ramsey County F.k~gineer's Office. <br />Meeting with Universi ty Mayor Nilsen and Attorney Galvin attended a meeting this <br />Officialss day at Coffman Union on the University campus. The following <br /> persons from the University were in attendances Roy V. Lund, <br /> Vice President in charge of Physical Plant, Joseph Tierney, <br /> Attorney, Elmer Learn, Assistant to the President in charge <br /> of planning (also a resident of Falcon Height's), and James <br /> Worthington, Administrative Assistant. <br /> Tt was reported that some of the items discussed were as <br /> follows <br /> (1) Possible University acquisition of Cleveland Avenue <br />Acquisition of property, also property located at 2129 W. Larpenteur - <br />Propertys ad3acent to the University Golf Course. <br />Golf Courses (2) Development of golf course south of Larpenteur Avenue. <br />Recreation areass (3) Inquiries regarding recreation area in University <br /> Grove or on University lands should be referred to Dr. Learn <br /> It was stated. that University facilities will not be avail- <br /> ab~.e (not even on temporary basis) until plans are finalized. <br />Expanse of Us (!~) General expanse of University and possible building <br />A ic. <br />~ ~ <br />o~= locations -re-affirmed matter of permanent plots south of <br />' Larpenteur Avenue for agricultural purposes. <br /> (5) Possibility of thoroughfares, land switches, and <br /> transportation between the farm campus and the main campus. <br /> (b) Maintenance of streets in the University Grove area. <br />
