2372 <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF MAY 25, 1966 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7s00 P.M. with the following members present: <br />Mayor Nilsen, Cl erk Strandquist, Trustees Black, Stone and Warkentien. Also <br />present were Treasurer Olsen, Attorney Galvin and Engineer Lemberg. <br />Representing the League of Women Voters was Mrs. Bobbe Nolan. <br />Minutes Black moved, seconded by Stone that the minutes of the <br /> meeting of May 11, 1966 be approved. Motion was carried. <br />Correspondence <br />Storm Sewer Imp. Copy of letter to Commercial Cartage Company from Saint Paul <br />66-1 -broken Water Department stated that repairs will be made to broken <br />copper service copper service at 1816 Holton. <br />1816 Holtons <br /> Clerk was instructed to notify Bruce Hardin of 1777 Simpson <br />Tree Removal that his request of May 20, 1966 to remove boulevard. tree <br />1777 Simpsons is hereby granted. Members of the council felt that in this <br /> instance, it is the responsibility of the owner to handle <br /> removal of same. <br />1 <br /> <br />Al Helbig - Fire Fire Chief Al Helbig submitted report of fire department <br />Chief .Reports activities dated May 25, 1966. <br />Fire Departments Stone moved, seconded by Black that the Fire Department be <br />authorized to purchase from General Electric Supply Company <br />Purchase the quantity of light bulbs listed on purchase requisition <br />Requisitions No. 66 1 which should be sufficient for one year to eighteen <br />months supply. Ayes: All, Nayss None. Motion was carried. <br />Stone moved, seconded by Strandquist that Fire Department is <br />Janitor authorized to purchase 3anitor supplies listed on requisition <br />Supplies No. 66-2 from R. A. Myers Company. Ayess All. Nayss None. <br />Motion was carried. <br />Two-Tay Radios Electronic two-moray radio system for the Fire Department was <br />discussed briefly. <br />Capitol City Mutual Stone moved that the Village of Falcon Heights loin in the <br />Aid Agreements Capitol City Mutual Aid Association and that the Mayor be <br />authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the Village <br />of Falcon Heights subject to clarification of the insurance <br />matters that have arisen. Motion was seconded by Strandquist. <br />Ayess A11. Nayss None. Motion was carried. <br />Susmner Recreation Warkentien introduced sunaner recreation program director <br />Programs Dick DeSchriver and assistant James Stewart. Directors outlined <br />eight week program which is scheduled for five days a week with <br />selected activities one to two nights a week to includ® <br />adults. Monday, June 6, 1966 has been scheduled for a <br />meeting of mothers who can assist in the program. <br />Warkentien moved, seconded by Stone that DeSchriver be <br />Purchases of authorized to purchase supplies in an amount not to exeed <br />suppliesa $~00 - this to include printing of handbills announcing <br />recreation program.
